1986 VW GTI w/2L ABA swap

This was something that was rather basic, but ended up working very well... Customer wanted a good reliable daily driver, he sourced a low mileage ABA engine for pennies and installed that into his car... He also installed a Schrick 268/272 asymmetric camshaft, headers and a techtonics exhaust, good basic mods... When all mapping was done, he had an increase of 15hp at the wheels and gets over 35mpg... Needless to say, he is very happy with his v44 ecu.

video:

ecu installed in stock location using OEM ignitor and all OEM sensors... harness plugs directly to standard wiring, so no splicing was necessary and it uses all factory relays and fuses for simplicity and ease of future maintenance. harness was sheathed in the same fashion as VW to keep the engine bay looking stock.
