sbn1979
To set base idle, just a case of key on, disconnect ICV, start up and adjust to attain correct base idle?
Simon
On the EVO as it is a stepper motor you will actually have to make sure the air bypass has been blocked off.The engine should be able to hold a slightly lower than normal idle when warm. augusto
noMake sure the stepper motor is fully closed. Now adjust the bypass bolt.To achieve a stable and lower idle speed than that of use.
sbn1979
What is the best way of closing the stepper fully?
augusto
HelloIn the ISC BASE POSITION table (% DC or Steps) put the lowest value possible. In the table IDLE RPM, put the lowest value possible. In this way, the idle motor is in the most closed position possible.Augusto
Adamw
In the ISC BASE POSITION table (% DC or Steps) put the lowest value possible.Correction, the numbers in the base position table when using a stepper motor are "steps from fully open". Therefore a smaller number is more open, a large number is more closed. Put something like 500 in the whole table will close the valve.
