Twinturbotr7
Hi all I'm new to this and will be buying a link atom or monsoon sometime soon ,in the meanwhile I'm sorting out all the senders I need etc , I'm building a rover v8 twin turbo But I need modify the inlet manifold ,part of this in tails moving the position of the coolant temp sender, I will need to weld a new boss onto the manifold and tap it for a temp sender ,my question is ,should I use the original 2 wire rover sender or should I upgrade to the link NTC12 temp sender ? I need to make my desision on this as need to tap the boss I've made , the rover one has a diffent thread to the link one so it's not a case of changing my mind on this later it need to be sorted now ,also would it be easier to set the link ecu up with the link sender ? thanks Nick
Brad Burnett
any two wire coolant temp sensor will work. The link NCT12 is just a Bosch style sensor with a m12x1.5 thread. As long as you go with that thread or 1/8npt you should be fine finding a temp sensor later on.
