Evo IX - ECU fault code 50 An Temp 3 below

Recommended Posts

Been working on my car past few weeks and today when i fired it up i see the engine management light on, so connected up my laptop and see the error fault code 50 An Temp 3 below.

Does that sound like the map sensor or maybe the wiring is damaged?

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I really don’t know much about this at all so apologies in advance!

How do I find this out?  Is it all within the pc link program ?

Yes PCLink see attached picture for the settings.

You can see all the runtime values by pressing F12 and selecting Analogue.

You can clear faults once fixed by going ECU Settings and Clear ECU Fault Codes.

Ok, have had another go and the details are

AN T3 is connected to MAF air temp and the value is input at 0v ground.

I've got a sensor connected to the ECU on my upper intercooler pipe. Sound like a broken wire to that maybe?

The ECU has internal Pullups on the ANTemp inputs, so you could try disconnecting the MAF, if the voltage goes up to 5v then the sensor is at fault, if not the input pin is shorted to earth somewhere.

As long as ANTemp2 is working and set to Inlet like the base map you can just turn that ANTemp3 MAF Temp to OFF dont forget to goto ECU Settings and clear ECU fault codes.
