BMW M54 Dual Vanos Wiring

Hi

Just wiring in an M54 BMW engine with a Wire in ECU.

There is no vehicle specific engine information in the help file. Does anybody know if it is the same as the S54 in terms of setup?

I assume that although there are 2 cam sensors, we just wire in the single LH Exhaust sensor to trigger 2, and LH Inlet to a free DI?

Our info suggests the M54 is the same as the M52, it is the older low pressure vanos that has only one solenoid per cam.  The S54 is the high press system and has 2 solenoids per cam.

Im not sure if there really are "two cam sensors" per cam but we are expecting a single tooth "half-moon" type tooth on both cams.  They appear to be at the front of the engine behind the sprockets.

Inlet cam sensor to trigger 2 and Exhaust cam to a DI.  Set trigger mode and VVT mode to BMW M52.

Normally, there's only 1 sensor/CAM, so that means 1 inlet and 1 exhaust cam sensor

Attached a wiring diagram.

I got some wiring diagrams for the solenoids as well, but not on this pc ;) So if you need them just give me a shout
