jzx_jake
Hi everyone, Running a 2JZGE VVTI and noticed the vvti position hunts back and forth all the time. If I apply the throttle very gently the vvti position is smooth. I've tried adjusting the vvti solenoid frequency with no luck. Any ideas? Adamw
Can you do a PC log so all parameters are recorded, there is not much data to go off in your log.
jzx_jake
Sorry I never got a chance to do a log, car was down for paint. In case anyone has this problem I fixed it by lowering the proportional gain to 3.0 in the vvti inlet LH control settings
Grant Baker
Hi I've got a log of a pulsing VVTi System... Don't know if that helps? What was your Proportional prior to it being reduced to 3.0? 1JVVTI.llg

The proportional for the 1JZ vvt mode is 6.0 when set to default PID mode. This works ok for most 1J/2J's but I have seen a couple recently need lower P. I dont know if it is related to wear of the hardware, oil viscosity/pressure, or some other variable. Grant Baker
