cranking ign timing

I have not yet recorded any data below 500rpm, but it seems that during cranking my ign timing value may be being determined by the "idle ign table" which i use for idle control, can someone confirm that?

I had assumed it would come from the main ign map

It will ignore the idle ign table up to 400RPM, above that, provided the lockouts are met it will be active.

Edit:  Actually, I better add another qualification to that since I don’t know your setup.  For all trigger modes except 1 tooth per TDC it will use the main ignition timing during cranking.  For 1 tooth/tdc at cranking the ecu doesn’t apply any advance at all, it just sparks where the teeth are.
