    DBW antilag help

From my little experience on our subaru EJ205 with only idle air bypass valve: Running the valve 75% open already provides a noticeable push (but manageable), running 0° absolute timing (TDC) with 25% extra fuel I am getting sustainable EGT temps. namely 800°C off throttle. pops/burble are noticeable but not that much. my second map which I don't use that often has 5° ATDC ignition, pops are way more noticeable and the temps are creaping over 90°C. I already tried 100% ICV opening, but the push was either too much, or EGTs way too high (975°C in seconds) because of very retarded timing to compensate the push (indeed in the region of 20-30 atdc) So be very aware that you gonna melt some shit! and car will push
  2. Thank you very much! This one did not pop out during my search
  3. The plan would be to keep the 1 piece manifold if we choose this engine. Good to know what we are heading into, thank you for the light. When you say 06 inlet cam, do you mean inlet cam from what model? Afaik jdm engine used 2 wires also on the 06, and this engine does seem to have both front and read LH inlet cam angle sensor? If I understand correctly what you mean, engine using the 3 wire rear sensor do not have the front one(I never seen this kind of engine) ? And the 3 wire makes both sync and avcs position?
  4. Thank you adam I will see how it goes on
  5. Hello Link community, It's been a while I havent come there. my cars have been running fine, on link only some mechanical issues Now the father has bought a south african 06 STI without engine. We have been looking around to decide what to use for an engine. When I looked around, I found a JDM engine from the same year (single AVCS 2.0L, one piece intake manifold, mechanical throttle). From looking around, the SA engine is like EUDM with 2.5L, tgv and ethrottle. I already tuned his v4 type R on link G4x and told him he should get a link for that as well. WRX107X would be the right model for it, correct? Now to the thing I am a bit more ignorant about, It seems like ej257 ethrottle (which the car came with) have a 3pin cam position sensor and that JDM 2.0 uses 2 pins (RCM2684 cams for exampke?) will we get any issues fitting the JDM engine in that chassis with the link ecu? Have a nic day thank you

Its a 2 pin sensor on the rear diff body

So I have finally been able to get the S50b32 under the knife! with the double vanos activated this time. For that part it went very smooth, trigger put on s52 I think, then double vanos. I had to adjust the ignition angle setup a bit. for that I had to change the idle valve to a 2 wire one (bmw M42 one). put that on aux 6. small issue there, we got too much flow going through the valve and idle sits high. but that is about the only problem we got got to use a canchecked md15 too. nice bit of kit, but some more fiddling to do to get it transmit lambda target for ex. A question for you, how is the VSS supposed to be wired there (on e36 chassis with custom engine loom but stock chassis harness)? and the setup? I sent the vehicle speed sensor pin from the X20 chassis plug to a DI on the ECU as RR wheel speed. tried different pullups and edge but showing 0Hz in runtime. Tacho is reading correctly in the car.
  9. no if you do that you will virtually make a short circuit. use the virtual aux function and then call the two virtual auxes in the acutal physical aux
  10. Are you sure your tacho is synched correctly so it actually shows the ecu rpm? What does the ecu gives for max rpm info?
  11. That would most likely beneficial in turbocharged applications. In an NA engine, maybe a bit less, but always good to have this kind of data when one have such an ecu!
  12. What is the least Ethanol your car is likely to see? E5, or maybe e0? Then put this gas in the car, define it as the base fuel and tune the fuel map for that. Then enable modeled multi fuel and put your 0% multi fuel blend at the ethanol contentyou first tuned (E5 maybe) Then what is the most ethanol content your car is going to see? E85 from pump, e98 from drums? Then put your 100% multi fuel blend at that ethanol content. Then tune your car on that maximum ethanol blend content and you will be sure the interpolation the ecu will do for any fuel you will use is good. I you see Max e85 then no need to put e100 as maximum value, you will never reach it and will always be interpolating between two tables when tuni'g the second fuel
  13. Unless you buy e100 race gas un drums, its not likely to get e100, and your tank must be dry
  14. It looks to me there is no crank and Cam signal on that scope. Only a flat line. Did you do it while engine turning over?
  15. What functions related to the ecu do you want to implement?
  16. We can simplify that in saying that this is an extra compensation table, or used to do an extra function related to fuel, spark, boost... You basically add extra trims +/- to the already defined 3D fuel table. Maybe you have another table related to engine runtime and enrichment to combat lean starts when heat soaked. That's the 4d Then you add another one for extra fuel when hitting nitrous... That's your 5d
  17. I set up my screen resolution on the computer to the same value as on the tablet. then I "save the layout as", copy it onto the tablet and open it. then you got a rightly scaled one without the struggle of the touch. even if I use a mouse on the tablet its not as convenient as the computer.
  18. These are just wires. They can't put everything on the same page.
  19. If you are in modelled mode with accurate injector data Only raising the working pressure in the settings would do it.
  20. Isnt the quad solenoid of the s50b32 Euro supposed to run only on aux 1 to 4? Even BMW made the 2 wire idle valve on older 4 cylinder like m42.
  21. here is the config from the black storm unit: https://drive.google.com/file/d/127vzQQw_PvUa3Bsy-AS04EdyNM1rzybk/view?usp=sharing I do delete logs everytime after I download them. normally the road driving makes that the data quantity is not that much (I use it to see open loop values during full load), but last sunday on the track, the WOT period is way longer. I did check the ecu log at lunch time but did not save it (and not deleting it either) thinking I'll pull all the data from the day at the end, butI couldn't like I said, because almost no data was there.
  22. got also the case on sunday track day. I guess the memory was full and then erased itself because there was like une minute data left in the logging memory at the end of the day
  23. Any OBD Reader would work I guess
