I think it is interesting technology when you look at prospects of closed loop peak cyl pressure angle control, but I think that is still a long way off the aftermarket world.  As for ion current knock control, it is not very useful in anything but OEM applications, there are just too many combustion irregularities to allow it to be implemented in a DIY scenario.   On the moderm BMW's with it for instance even a small change to the fuel mixture completely upsets it.

I am more familiar with using End of Injection, when I try to use that on a G4x it tells me if I plan to use a Fuel Cut in Seq. mode I should use Start of Injection.
Just wanted to understand why that is.
    Thanks

Correct, thats how I would expect it to work.  The switch point would be 60kpa and 1500RPM.  59.9kpa and 1499RPM would be off.  60.0Kpa and/or 1500RPM would be on.

Yeah I added this to the list a few months ago.

Thanks. I'm waiting for the G4X Fury so can't test but it looks like I have options for VTC.

coworker has made the comment that you might be better of switching around math block 1 and 2 there as that would mean the LH End calculation would happen immediately before the lower threshold calulation which uses it instead of using the value from the last round of calculations, I doubt you would be able to see a difference but it would be more technically correct.

Try this, seems to work from a quick play on the desk

Yeah I think this is a decent idea, it could potentially also cover the drift guys that swap diff ratios regularly.

I came up with a setup that; if I hold brake and clutch for 3 seconds after key on, my cruise switches become motorsport style buttons.
Here's the setup for "Track Mode",
Virtual Aux 1 is Clutch and Brake Switch Start Timer 1 with Ignition Switch Start Timer 2 with Virtual Aux 1 (reset it to 0 if virtual aux 1 turns off) Virtual Aux 2 says: If, after 3 seconds, Timer 1 and Timer 2 are equal, then Virtual Aux 2 is on, when you release the pedals, the virtual aux stays on because of condition 3 (that it is on) Virtual Aux 2 is now "Race Mode" you can use this to perhaps richen up a mixture, or as a switch for high boost mode.

I also reprogrammed in Track Mode, so that Cruise Resume increased my traction Slip % (Though you could use this for launch RPM or boost level) Cruise Set reduced this.
    Cruise cancel activated launch control.
Cruise On/Off activated pit lane limiter.

Sorry my fault. You have to do it the other way arround.
    Virtual Aux PWM
Aux with condition VA PWM > 50%
    and turn off delay: 0.2sec
But yes we  have to wait for VA PWM update

Yes boolean on/off would be excellent. I've played with 3d tables with RPM axis of 999, 1000, 1999, 2000, 4299 and 4300. I need VTC on at 2000rpm at low load but on at 1000rpm at high load with effectively a straight line in between. I thought this would be really easy to do in a 3d map but it actually seems tricky to do with the playing around I've done.
Interesting concept. Yes math block could be a winner to get the different cutoff at varying load. I'll have a play with that option. Thanks.

I chased engineering last night to get a feel for what the delay was.  Most of the other G4X's ECU's we had quite a large stock of prior to all the covid stuff, but the Fury was just entering production at the start of it all.  The long shut down of most of the major electronics manufactures  (mostly China) and the consequent stockpiling that many of the large manufacturers done has caused worldwide extinction of several needed electronic components and a massive backlog for the component producers.  At the moment we are waiting in the cue like everyone else with no firm ETA sorry.

Your plug looks like the Amphenol LTW AU-06BFFA-LL7001 but with a sleeve over the top of the centre according to the pic on your web site. What's the go with the sleeve?

Wow thanks very much. It's simple once you look at it already done but I never would have thought of doing it that way. Cheers!
