On one hand I agree the base maps as provided by Link are far from the best base calibrations I've used.  On the other hand, I've worked to develop my own base maps that gives customers a reason to choose me as their dealer and tuner.  If the base calibrations were good to go without much adjustment, people would tend to buy the ecus and possibly never seek out professional tuning help.  This could lead to very bad results and ultimately Link would be the likely target of any blame for a poor result.  By providing "startup only" tunes they force the end user to find a competent tuner - or to find these forums and seek help here - so that someone with more experience can get involved and help them go through all the necessary parameters.  This seems like the more conservative strategy and should - in the end - provide a better result.  Link gives out tuning aid free of charge here if you have specific questions to ask which is far more than most ecu manufacturers do.

If you ever get the chance, plug one in while it's unmounted where you can see the flapper movement.  Then set the base position up and down and watch it move.  The spring loaded flapper nominally sits in a "center" position, and one side pin has to be grounded to get it to move toward fully open, and the opposite pin needs to be grounded to move toward fully closed.  Because two outputs are used to allow the full range of movement, they have to work in equal and opposite unison the way @Adamw describes.

That said, I really wish there was a setting in the link to command fully closed when on boost.  It never drops below minimum duty cycle in the idle settings unfortunately.  You can make a 3D base position table to get close, but it's a feature I would like to see added.

I should probably add I didn't have the stock idle up valve which was probably causing the issues.
From what I can tell the Link doesn't get the "AC Activate" signal from the AC button when you push it.  It get the signal from the the feed leaving the AC amplifier that activates the clutch.
If you've got the stock Idle up valve then there is no issue as the AC button Activates the Idle up valve, rev's increase, clutch engages the same time as the Link get the AC signal.
If the idle up valve isn't there, the Link doesn't get the signal until the clutch engages so it has no time to stop the engine stumbling.

I understand you're frustrated, but compared to a lot of aftermarket ecu manufacturers the tech support for Link is amazing.  I've used other ecus in the past that no amount of emailing/calling/messaging would yield any reasonably quick answer, and sometimes the answer wasn't even competent when you got one.  I don't consider link to be perfect by any means but they do a pretty darn good job in my opinion and much better than most.

ellisd1984 got a reaction from Vladi in Fuel Table 1 (%) jump 3500-3750rpm.
I had something very similar thing on a 3sgte Celica GT4 after fitting a top feed fuel rail and 1000cc injectors.  There was something like a 150rpm window that required a massive increase in fuel.  either side of this point was absolutely fine.
Here is the thread on HPA's forum.  I tried to find the screenshots but they were on an old laptop so unless you're a paid up member you can't download them.  Your table looks alot like mine though

Would it be possible to have an option for the the mixture map function to take into account correction made from closed loop lamda?  I like the idea of having CLL running as an added safety margin when road tuning and it would be good if the mixture map could look at what corrections are are being made to make permanent changes to the fuel map.

As above I've been messing with closed loop boose control and noticed when I'd parked up that my boost solenoid was clicking even though it was below map and rpm thresholds.  After messing with a few settings I noticed that changing "voltage compenstion"  from on to off stopped this happening.

It's not a setting i'm particularly bothered about but I though it best mention it incase other people are experiencing the same problem

I believe it's the latest firmware.  To be honest I didn't even realise voltage compensation had been turned on I've only just turned boost control back on after tuning on the wastegate for a while.  Everything seems to be working fine now so I'm more than happy to leave it turned off

Thanks for confirming this, I realise that it wouldn't effect how the cylinders react to knock as it would still be reducing timing on the same cylinder as it was detecting the knock.  It just makes sense now how my cylinder gain values seemed reversed to what I expected (as cyl 3 which is closest to the knock sensor so had the lowest gain was showing up as cyl2).

    Thanks again

Ok, so I'm having a crack at this now and I'm afraid to say after i've read through all the posts I can't get real dash and my G4X to play nice.  Can someone have a look at my attached settings and let me know where I'm going wrong.

    EDIT......

I've found the problem, the can USB adaptor had a really high BAUD rate that I had to adjust by downloading software for it.  I've now got the Link and RealDash talking nicely now
