  1. Ok , now how will i get a Crank sensor? will a extra Cam Sensor work? or will i definitely need a Crank sensor, If I do I dont know how I will be able to add one.
  2. Sorry to add this quite a bit latter on Im wondering if the Distributor on my engine right now would be considered a Crank sensor or a Cam Sensor, the distributor has its own sprocket on the timing belt system so there is a Crank sprocket, a Cam Sprocket and a Distributor Sprocket (same size as the Cam Sprocket also runs the oil pump) actually the distributor/oil pump sprocket and the Cam sprocket are the exact same part number. so would it be safe to say the hall effect sensor in the distributor is a Cam sensor?
  3. Just wondering if Link can do a Base map for my motor its a 2.2L Chrysler K bottom end with a 2.0L Neon/Stratus SOHC 16 Valve head ,Cam gear is a 40 Tooth Crank gear is a 20 tooth, Running stock Neon SOHC injectors and Throttle body, it is not going to be turbo charged, Just want to see what the ol' 2.2 is Capable of with a free flowing head, 16 Valves and Multi point fuel injection. hopefully better than the 92HP that the 2.2L had with the old castrated 8Valve head. Also the SOHC Neon head has 48CC Combetion chambers as opposed to the 8 Valves 60somthing cc Combustion Chambers.
  4. cool now it makes it a little easier on me, other than trying to combine the old Camshaft sprocked and (Dodge Neon Cam) to get the correct timing for the timing belt. but thats gonna require som welding.
  5. I can put a sensor on the SOHC Dodge Neon(16 valve) head since it will be a Newer head on a CB(Common Block) Chrysler 2.2 block. so if I had a Cam sensor and the non Turbo distributor sensor I could get it to work? as Coil on plug or wasted spark and sequential Fuel Injection? Basically the Setup is a SOHC 2.0 Litre Dodge Neon head on the old Chrysler 2.2 K engine Common Block"Common Block meaning it was used for the 2.2L and 2.5L FWD from 1988 to end of Production". I want to see what the old 2.2Litre can do with a head that breathes a whole lot better than the castraited 8 Valve SOHC that came on the 2.2 Litre.
  6. This is the under side of the Turbo Sensor. here is more info that is flooding in from the 2.2/2.5 FWD Mopar Facebook page . not Sure but I think it is how the Operation of the Turbo and non turbo work maybe?
  7. the Turbo Destibutor has 2 Hall efect pickups in it and on of the 4 tabs has a window in it but the the sensors are on a disk that fits in to the Distibutor the single pickup(off white) is the non turbo and the distributor without the sensors in it is the Turbo Destributor and the Black disk is the turbo sensor/s . I cant find a good pic of the bottom of the 2 sensor (turbo) model Hall effect sensor. I am in contact with a Turbo 2.2 owner and they are getting me a photo of the under side of the turbo sensor.
  8. well from what I have been reading about stand alone ECU on the old Chrysler 2.2/2.5 4cyl engines they are saying the Destibutor/HEP will not work, I guess I found my answer and I am going to have to go the long route and figure out how to add a 36-1 trigger wheel and sensor, any help on this will be greatly apreciated.
  9. I would like to use the factory Hall Effect sensor/sensors inside the Destributor for Multipoint Fuel Injection and eventually Coil on plug, I am wondering if it can be done with the G4 Storm. the internal of the destributor looks like this
  10. no the 2.2 Chrysler had a Distributor with a Hall effect sensor built in to the destributor for spark and fuel and I was wondering if I could use that for the same on the G4 Storm so I can finish my head swap, I am switching from Throtle Body injection to Multi point fuel injection. I am goin to be switching to the turbo Hall effect so it has the 2 sensors in the destributor. the assymbly looks like this but the turbo has 2 plugs instead of one and in effect has 2 sensors built in.
  11. Hey I was wondering if My G4 Storm operate off of a Hall Effect Sensor instead of a connventional Crank shaft sensor, I ask because my 4 cyl 2.2 Chrysler already has a Hall effect and installing a Conventional Crankshaft sensor is going to be quite a job, I can install a Turbo Hall effect that had the Ability to run Multipoint Fule injection at the time of conception but my project is some what of a frankenstein motor I am putting a SOHC Neon Head on the Origenal bottom end of the "Chrysler K" 2.2 Litre, and want to run Multi point on the new head, would love to run coil on plug too but dont know how to go about setting it all up , I already have the Exteranal oil feed and drain setup as that was the only Major issue with the head fitment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
