Hi all to add some more information on this topic i have fine tuned the trigger 1 sync tooth for the map sync function using the trigger scope and the logging at 1000Hz as @Adamw recommended because some times we found the engine was trying not starting at first time and we need 2 or 3 attempts to get it to start. the result is impressive the car now starts perfectely. you can see on the lifeview screenshot below the yellow mark was our previous setup and now our actual setup is the white mark on tooth 44 where the map is sitting at 55.2 kpa. so big thanks adam for the technique it shows once again the benefit of a nice data logging functionnality.

hi @Adamw I don't want to mess with this post but can you explain me why some trigger scopes of monsoonX ecu's have a good signal in (Volts AC) and others only have a flat curve and you can only see the square pulses in the trig1 Signal window which does not help find if the polarity is correct.

Yes you can go with the MAP Sync we have done it on our citroen saxo and it works fine it syncs perfectly !!!! we have had an issue with an injector so we were not able to finish the tune and now we are locked down thanks to this shit of COVID19 so we can't finish it but yes it works perfectly the only remark I can do to @Adamwis we have lost a lot of time because our car was not starting because of the fuelling but as the information of the Trigger 2 was not going to green we thought it was not synced but in fact everything was fine it is just that the trigger 2 does not go to green when you are using MAP Sync it would be nice to have the feedback with the green light.

Ok nice to know the rpm is working if you could post a video of the frames when you move the value of the reostat it could help understand and also tells us on the dash what is the current value knowing that the bottom side is around 50°c if my memory is correct and the middle is approximately 90°c

Hi Adam, I have found the info so it is the temp - 40 °C that is transmitted this is why it needs to be signed so I assume the offset will be -90 and type signed 8bits.

Ok for the offset i was not aware of the +50 internal offset now we will wait the confirmation of S172.

Hi adam i think for the coolant the offset is +40 and not -10 and if my memory is correct he told the data type should remain signed 8 bit and not unsigned S172 will have to test both. Best regards

Hi S172 and Adam, I have contacted a friend who has already done it but not with a link ecu. the bitrate is 250K Coolant is in message 0x77A it is transmitted every 100ms you must transmit your temp +40 °C in the first data BYTE of the CAN message. RPM is in message 0x0FA it is transmitted every 10 ms in 2 BYTES you must transmit your RPM*8 in the first 2 data BYTES of the CAN message. if you can send your project I might be able to set it up.

Hi Adam, Sorry to bother you but do the Monsoon X have an onboard BAP and an internal map sensor ? because I can select BAP and MAP both to internal is it normal ?

Hi you need to start cranking the engine before clicking the button.

Hi it would be nice to add units of Quantity like Liters to the Cal Table for using it as a fuel Level. I know it is a simple question of cosmetics and I can do without units but as other units exist I don't think it is a too big job to add them !!!!! Units.bmp

Yes i undestand but if for example the tube connected to the map disconnects will the engine be starting or not ?

Sorry to bother you adam but if it fails to detect how the engine will run ? Semi sequential wasted spark or not start at all ?

NA with ITB tarmac rallying only and with extreme Cams it produces 226hp at the crank for a 1600cm³ it is nice !!!

Unfortunately there is no cam sensor it is a simple engine the tu5jp4

Hi all, A small question I am currently planning my loom for our Citroën saxo kit car that we will be running on a Monsoon X For the injection I have the choice of semi sequential wiring injector 1 and 4 on drive 1 and wiring 2-3 on drive 2 or i am interesting in doing a semi sequential using the 4 drives to be able to apply trims to each cylinder if needed as I don't need extra outputs. So to do this i must use multi group selecting drives 1-4 and then wire in the firing order so inj 1 on drive 1, inj 3 on drive 2, inj 4 on drive 3 and inj 2 on drive 4 is it correct ?

I have seen on DTAFast ECU's (English ECU brand) a basemap for hayabusa I am not sure of the information but you may have a look at it : Trigger 1 : position 105° Before TDC Unfortunately this map was not using trigger 2

Hi, I am facing the same issue "unable to open file named :" with all the base maps for Atom and Monsoon ECU's but working for all the basemaps for Plugins, Storm's, Fury's ECU. I have tried removing options2.xml file and same issue. i am not trying to connect to my ecu because I have to do all the wiring stuff before. I have also tried to download the setup from Edge, Firefox with same results. there is definitely something wrong with the new release.
