  1. Thanks for the reply. I dont know where those numbers came from for injector pulse width. Not sure if whom ever tuned it knew. Ill try and see if i can find specs on fuel injectors that are installed on the car. On the timing, what is the best way to find tdc. There does not seem to be any timing marks, so i need to make one. Would turning the engine over by hand and marking when im at tdc (with something in the spark plug hole) be close enough to get a good timing mark to reference? Or is there a better, more accurate way?
  2. Hi Guys, I recently bought a supercharged 1996 Viper GTS. Has a 10 psi pulley. Previous owner installed a Link Extreme. After Ive spent some time with the Link Software, and this car, there are MANY questionable things on the tune. The car runs, but not like I think it should. I've been trying to dial in the tune the best I can on the street. Would there be a huge diff changing this over to Modelled, from the traditional it is currently tuned in? Id def have to do some more reasearch on whats involved in switching over to modelled if its worth it. I'm not sure of what fuel injectors i have on here to try and research specs on them. So now i am second guessing everything that was done. Does anyone have a Gen 2 Viper running on Link? Id really like to see you ignition setup data, and timing map. I have a trigger offset of 5 and not sure if this is correct. My Timing map is pretty horrible. I think because it used to have a VEC running the meth injection via PWM, and when they swapped over to the Link, they never connected up the meth, and just retarded the timing a ton. ?!? Attached is the map i took off the car when i first got it. I've mostly just turned off all dual tables on recent revisions, and tweaking the fueling a bit. But this is the only map i currently have on my pc here at work. Thanks for the help! Jay viper-map+tps+cal.pclr
  3. Yup. Good call. I just bought the car, and going over how the Link was wired and tuned. Guess i cant do what i wanted..as the pairs of cylinders are in fact on differnt banks. (odd fire) Oh well. Thanks for the help.
  4. Hi Guys, My car is a 1996 Dodge Viper. (V10) I have 2 wideband sensors on each side of the engine. I'm currently running and tuning from only 1 wideband sensor...but want to use each one to tune to perfection. I think I would like to use the fuel cylinder trim table for each bank by grouping one side of the engine (cyl 10,8,6,4,1) and (cyl 9,7,5,3,1) That way i can get lambda 1 and 2 to be exactly the same. (im seeing some differences between the 2) Problem is It seems software only goes up to Ftrim Cyl#8. There is no cylinder 9 and 10 fuel trim options. (can i manual add this info in to the parameters?) How can i add these parameters, or is there a better way? (maybe 2 fuel maps? one for bank of cylinders?..but how would I specify which bank uses which fuel table?) EDIT: Cliff notes after reading above, it might not 100% clear what i'm trying to do. (lol) I basically want to be able to tune each bank of cylinders (2) independently from each other...on a v10. but software only goes up to an 8 cylinder. Thanks, Jay
  5. Yes agreed. Not really sure whats up with the high load timing. The car does have a 10psi supercharger pulley...and if there is no meth turned on, maybe they are trying to keep the engine from knocking or blowing apart. The table 2 timing looked slightly better if i remember correctly. (Not at computer at the moment)
  6. Thanks for the help guys. This car does have water/meth injection...that was turned on and off originally via a VEC 1 or 2...not sure which) . The last owner had the VEC removed, and this Link Extreme put in. So im wondering if the water/meth is even doing anything on the car anymore. Was thinking maybe that was why there are 2 maps. but if there is nothing triggering the water/meth injection...then who knows. Thanks Jay
  7. See attached. Note, I have turned off accel enrichment, and closed loop correction to try and dial in the fuel map table (when i thought there was just one) I looked at one of my pc log files, and ethanol sensor is coming up as an error. stock-no-accel-no-closed-loop-9-2-2020.pclr
  8. Thank you. Its set to interpolate between both tables. What would be the correct way to tune this? If its using both fuel maps, and interpolating between them both depending on ethanol content (looks like there is an ethanol sensor somewhere on this car,as i see a digital input for one (ethanol sensor) in the Link for it) ..what would be the correct way to adjust both fuel tables. Table 1 is not say 10 percent diff than table 2. Each fuel cell is off by a different percentage from table 1 to table 2. Was hoping I could easily just fine tune the fuel map using mixture map. But now with 2 fuel tables, and the car running a percentage of one and another, not sure its going to work that easy for me. Jay
  9. Hi guys. Ive just bought a car that has a link extreme g4+ on it. Im trying to do a bit of fine tuning on the fuel map, as it runs very rich. Im familar with megasquirt, as i have 2 cars running on that very well. It seems i have 2 fuel tables in the G4+ . What would the point of useing 2 fuel tables be? (They are both different btw) Where in the software does it tell the ecu which fuel table to run?...or is it running both at the same time?? Under parameters list, if i log it says fuel table 2 is active....but fuel table one says anywhere between 69 and 45%. Is this normal? Thanks for the help. This is on a supercharged 1996 Dodge Viper GTS. Jay
