  1. @Stevieturbo @Adamw VERY STRANGE After a month of changing everything like 3-4 times trying out new set of AEM coil packs twice spark plugs like 4-5 times and coil wires 4 times, another subaru mechanic told me that they have tried the same set of AEM coil packs on a race car and had the same problem. So i decided to go back to original 2006 setup which immediately solved everything. I simply cant fathom why but apparently subaru dont like AEM coil packs. THANKS for everything again adam. You have been so helpful everytime.
  2. It's between 47.5-49.5 when cranking between A&B
  3. @Adamw pic is pin A&B A&C 24.8 A&D 25.7 Sorry for the delay i was pretty busy
  4. @Adamw Tried to ground the coils(pin B only) to expansion loom ground. Car misfiring horribly at any throttle input above 80% Here is the log Log 2022-12-27 8;06;07 pm.llg
  5. @Adamw Yeah i am referring to Pin B "Is your B137-24 pin in position 16 in the link pinout? " Yeah its in 16 Hmm i did measure the voltage between A&B A&C A&D with ignition on. I dont remember the values but it was all basically same so i assumed grounding was ok. I will measure those again tomorrow and let u know the exact voltage. What would happen if i were to ground Pin B to somewhere else close to where ecu is grounded or maybe coil mount plates instead of bundling them together with Pin C. I have tried to find out some info regarding grounding issues some said that could result in a blown coil in very rare circumstances (i mean grounding Pin B and C to cylinder head together). Pin D is directly connected to battery ground BTW thanks again adam you are a life saver every time.
  6. I seem to be having a weird signal ground wiring issue with my new set of Aem smart coils. If i connect REF Ground to cylinder heads it seems to work just fine but if i leave it as is meaning wired to B137-24 car just doesnt start. Wiring itself is ok i checked. What could be the reason for this and can i use the expansion loom ground for ignition ground as i have other sensors grounded to that expansion loom ground. Switched to these after having misfire issues from my old set of coils ls2 truck coils ds585(bought 2 sets new of coils run great for 150-200miles and started misfiring above 25psi)
  7. I have the spec sheet and i can google aem smart coils but i dont know how that is even remotely helpful in my situation. I have looked at all the different topics here or other forums related to these coils but i have no baseline to work with regarding these coils. Take my previous coils ls2 d585 as an example i had lot of similar spec cars even here on link forums so i knew what my dwell table should look like in this case i have no idea.
  8. I have wrx v4. I had a very good deal on set of aem smart coils and upgraded to them. I dont know the base dwell table for these coils. Couldnt find anything on these coils regarding dwell times and spark duration. My setup g30-900 running 35psi on ej257 closed deck block with ngk r7434 racing spark plugs. You can see map and old setting that worked perfectly with ls2 coils. Thanks e50.pclr
  9. Car drives fine however i am having lean spot(AFR goes to 14-18 different each time) after each gear shift WOT. Not always and not immediately after but around 5500-6000rpm 100-150Mpa MGP. It is showing on the logs but on the AFR gauge itself (aem uego 4.2) its perfect. Could this be an signal issue. Signal ground is connected to the expansion loom ground as Adam said in different topics couple of times. As i said before car rides and drives fine and that big of a lean spot i think i would feel it. She would at least misfire and hesitate but no problems with the car. 10. Is there a difference between MAP and target boost. Cause i have seen Simon and Adam say it doesnt matter as they are the same thing basically multiple times. @Adamw Is there a difference between the two.
  11. How is that even possible. My boost target is 260kPa. Look at 4th gear pull and this is a random occurence. Most of the time it doesnt. Check 4th gear pull. 33% wg dc all the way to the redline. Here you go two different logs no problems on theseLog 2022-11-14 3;54;20 pm.llg Log 2022-11-14 3;54;24 pm.llg oh maybe its the same issue when you switch from 2 axis to just one. I have read couple of people having different values in their tune file after switching to single axis Oh thanks Adam. Its the same problem. It was gear based boost target and i switched to single axis without changing all the values since i have enough traction in all gears i didnt need boost by gear.
  12. I have wrx v3-4 plugin play. When i switch to close loop boost control it seems like tune randomly(not always) keeps pulling my wgate dc for no reason even though basically i am running open loop(pid values all zeroed). In open loop mode there is no issue. But i want faster spool hence why i at least need stage 1 Here is the log file and tune. Latest.pclr latest log.llg Dont mind log AFR it wasnt calibrated properly.
  13. Thanks so much Adam. Calibrated dwell time vs map 4.4 solved misfire issues
  14. Not much. I have tried iridium spark plugs(was using bkr8eix(s20 heads with matched chambers) with old setup with no problems). This is ngk race series(cant remember the exact model rn) Tried 5 different spark plugs all same Forgot to add compression test all same so not a mechanical issue
  15. Hi folks I seem to be having a weird problem with LS2 Coil dwell times. WRX v4 G4+ Plugnplay Closed deck ej257 with g30-900 with ls2 coil conversion with below values. I was pushing 32 psi with g30-770 with no problems. Injectors id1700x at 50psi with aem 400lph x2 inline pumps with surge tank aeromativ fpr After upgrading to g30-900 car started misfiring above 21psi. I first thought it was related to ignition and changed everything new coils spark plugs(gapped to 0,24-0,22 and 0,20) and wires and literally changed everything related to fueling(fpr and fuel pumps and the filter) and checked the injectors and checked for electrical issues and added another super grounding kit just for the peace of mind to no avail. (also checked for boost-vacuum leaks) Someone suggested to increase the dwell times and i can increase the boost to 28psi without misfiring with below values. However above 28 psi its still misfiring. I am scared to increase the dwell times further as i read standart dwell time for ls2 coils is 3,5ms@14V(it says it used to be 4,5ms) It doesnt makes sense to me upgrading the turbo from 770 to 900 would cause this. Can you help me out Thanks
