  1. Hi Pete, thanks for responding. Managed to fix it by changing the Sec PW lockout from 0.8ms to 2.0ms. Now the throttle control and modulation is in line with that of my E92 M3, buttery smooth and zero issue. Seems like the smallest issues with injector staging makes ridiculous differences. All resolved.
  2. Gentlemen, I'm experiencing a cruising issue around the primary and secondary injector staging area. in 4th or 5th gear as I approach 4000 rpm....there is suddenly a lean spot which can be felt as the secondary injector comes online. Is there a way this can be dialled out or made into a smoother transition. I also noticed this during track driving at SPA. if i held onto an gear partial throttle around 4-5krpm.....there would be a lean spot as the secondaries started staging. Really frustrating issue. Even if i up the accel fuel and time it doesnt seem to make any difference to the lean out. Never had this issue with the pfc. What am i overlooking for the partial throttle map? Any help appreciated. Seems to happen at throttle tip in...or very light throttle. 5TH GEAR LEAN ON CRUISE.llg
  3. Thank you Adam. Pete - I dont have dual o2 sensors. However, on the oem lim the runner lengths are not equal and the rear rotors are known to run hotter by upto 10%. If you have EGTS on your exhaust manis for front and rear rotors you'll be able to evidence the rear rotor running a bit hotter. What Adam has confirmed is we can simply run a % of fuel trim to get that rear rotor to balance out with the front. Thank you for this. One last question. With regards to injection timing the base setting for the RX7 13b on the link g4+ is set to 130* BTDC. Any idea if you have an a table for what a starting point should look like?
  4. Hi, How can i add more fuel to the rear rotor to balance out the afrs? Is this possible on the link g4+ ecu? Thanks
  5. Thank you both. That's very helpful. I'll start looking into boost leaks and start replacing silicone hoses etc with an fittings and braided hard lines now.
  6. I noticed the points you have referred to. I was referring to this area under 100% load but looks like I've suddenly lost boost. Perhaps a boost hose popped off! In your opinion do you feel the G4X platform is a lot better than the g4+? or is there a newer link ecu which is coming out which is going to replace the x platform soon? # Agreed, i could not see any limits get activated and wanted to be sure that was the case. Just strange there was a boost cut very suddenly.
  7. Thanks, I noticed that. Was there any limits that got activated? I cant see any evidence. Likely some kinda electrical gremlin. My Afr reading did not seem to lean out but at the point of the boost cut I cant seem to understand why Boost, Spark and Fuel stopped at the same point. Almost like a rotary cut. I'll look underneath the car next to see if any wg lines have popped off.
  8. Gentlemen, Was doing some dragy gps testing and randomly i had a power cut, looking at the logs - fuel, boost, spark all cut at 6597rpm. TP still at 100% until 6700 rpm. I've gone over the logs and cant see any gp rpm limit, map limit, rpm limit get activated. Anyone able to offer insight into why this happened? Sounded like something popped off....but checked all boost lines, turbo, engine etc...and all looks fine. Drove car home and again all in fine. Random G4+ ecu glitch?? which maybe activated a gp rpm limit or something but didn't log the activation?
  9. Thanks, i've watched that video a long time ago. Will need to refresh memory. Hopefully its not just a marketing gimmick and the x is worth the additional improvements. Hoping to take advantage of the black friday deals and upgrade. Not having to rewire the entire car is ideal. Would prefer to plug in the new ecu and calibrate everything to suit.
  10. does this feature work with the g4+ model of ecu's?
  11. Gentlemen, Blackfriday sale is here. So is the G4X a worthwhile ecu upgrade over the g4+? Im on the g4+ and it for me works for me on my platform rx7 series 6. Are there any drawbacks from upgrading or moving to the g4x? Any software features which have been removed or glitchy etc? Pros and cons welcomed. If i do get a good enough deal i am seriously thinking of upgrading to the x...but want to make sure im not just paying for marketing etc? Are there more analogue and digital inputs on the x?
  12. yh maybe the idle control is not properly connected/ failed so the ecu is unable to control it. thanks, i'll try this and see if its good enough to control the idle. Likely my idle control valve has failed.
  13. Its strange, very light throttle hits are causing the engine to die when cold. Not sure if its an electrical gremlin as i notice the battery voltage keeps fluctuating. However, this is a brand new optima red top, so not sure if its something else. Before anyone else says the engine compression, that is confirmed fine. This is defo a software issue with the cold fuel tuning as The apexi pfc never had such problems, could turn on stone cold and drive without engine dying etc. Issues only with cold start, idle and cruising. Is there anything else I can try?
  14. Gentlemen, I have attached my log file for a cold start and driving issue im experiencing. Once hot there are no issues When cold, the afrs lean out even at the slightest touch of the throttle. There seems to be enough fuel in the crank enrichment and warm up enrichment. Accel fuel for throttle input as seems to have enough fuel. Any ideas why there sudden lean spikes?
  15. Just to clarify is this how you control the 2nd rich spike i.e. the spike in primary pw due to the staged injection accel fuel?
  16. Having issues with the secondaries coming online when load is based on rpm. It goes very rich while the secondaries come online which feels like quite a big hesitation. Is there a work around in the link g4+ software for this issue please where it doesnt do this? no matter what i do to this table....when the secondaries come online...the afrs shoot mega rich for some reason before settling. The staging process between the primaries and secondaries does not seem seemless! is this a glitch in the link g4+ software?
  17. Only for the first 5mins of a cold start i'm noticing lean out and severe hesitation. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction if this is warm up enrichment table issue or accel fuel issue? log file saved here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vyfSa67W36aGM9KpYrvS3d0INF9zzdmC?usp=sharing
  18. Thank you so much, do you have the dead times for the oem secondary 850cc injectors by any chance? Im using the oem 850cc as my primaries.
  19. Thank you that really makes sense now. Thats gonna add a layer of insane time saving on the dyno. I thought only ve based fuel tables could make that change. This is great information. I think the issue i've got is the stock oem injectors for the rx7 dont have deadtime data from factory so i've left these as 0. However, the secondaries are asnu 1500cc so i've got all the data for that populated. I'm just happy that my afr readings are accurate and i can experiment more with the tune without changing the main fuel table. Thank you.
  20. Hi Thanks for the insight. So say if ive tuned to a certain target lets say 11afr at 12psi. If i change the target table to make it richer......then its automatically adds in more fuel and vice versa less fuel? so effectively my afr is reading accurate?
  21. Gentlemen, I feel like there is a 0.5afr discrepancy with my Zeitronix ZT3 wideband with the link g4+ ecu. This is how its been setup/calibrated in the ecu. Now i've tuned my afr target table and everything was fine. However, as a test i changed the AFR target table from 13.5afr in the idle areas to 13.0 afrs and that immediately impacted and changed my real time afr readings reading 0.5afr richer without me making any changes to the main fuel table! This is obviously a bit concerning for me because whatever changes made in the target table should surely not change the afr readings? I'm not running closed loop or VE either. What am i missing here? Is my wideband faulty?
  22. Deffo, i was doing that but the plugs got dead and started getting breakup even when i disconnected the meth injection. I wasnt sure what ignition break up looked like tbh as this is the first time i've experienced it tuning my rx7/13b engine. However, in my case as you can see it was def stupid rich when i got breakup. Never leaned out on the misfire. Spoke to my engine builder and he was like your ignition coils are gone. Thus me putting in new plugs and testing again. All good now!
