I purchased a new plug and play g4x link for my 1993 wrx. Installed and tuned by Link professional. I myself have never been able to connect to my ecu as the ecu will not be detected my laptops. However the problem Im having now is no ones laptops can connect to my ecu at all (doesn't even show in device manager). All have latest updates and firmware etc etc. Have tried 2 new link usb cables (including the ecu side cable) I really need this car tuned now and after hours of research it seems like this is a common problem. Was there a faulty batch of g4x's? How do I go about getting this fixed? Ecu is less than a year old.

The problem Im having is comp ports are not even showing up in device manager. When I install the software it clearly says that it's installed the drivers but there nowhere to be seen, makes no difference if link is plugged in or not. Other usb devices work fine and the link connects to my older laptop no worries.

Just had the car tuned on a different laptop. Cant figure out why this mint as modern one is being difficult.

Have a new link g4x plug and play in a version 1 wrx. Problem I'm having is that my laptop is not detecting the link. Not even in device manager, No comp port or link or nothing. Correct software has been installed, laptop usb's ports operate other devices fine. ECU is not faulty and ignition is ON. Anyone incounted this before?
