  1. good afternoon, just a quick question about bosch e throttle installation before i start . its e36 m50 with plug and play ecu. ive been using other aux for other controls such as boost solenoid and fan controls. Since i am no longer gonna be using IAC can aux 1 and 2 be used for throttle? ty , jack
  2. thanks for your reply adam, it does have resistor plug and cover is in place. here is what i found , i chased down grounds in the ignition coil system. the shielded ground for coil ground was ran to a seperate ground by a previous owner. i reattached it to the coil ground wires and viola i have had a stable connection since. jack
  3. i know this has been an issue. but i need a little advice on what to do next. my ecu keeps disconnecting from pc while running. ive tried 3 different laptops . my tuner is frustrated trying to set up my car. it will connect and then disconnect. then it wont reconnect until i disconnect usb cable , close down link software , reinstall usb cable. also was watching my device manager. as soon as ecu goes offline so does link in com port. thanks in advance, jack
  4. hi adam , thnx for the reply. i turned the pull up resistor on and still have no speed being seen in ecu. ive gone through the speed signal circuit from the combination meter and all is well there. and the bmw speed signal goes to everything from combo meter. any thoughts? id like to get this working so i can move into gear position so the tuner has more info to go on thnnx jack
  5. hey all, just started working with link g4x and am in the process of setup/tuning. im all set as far as the install and initial setup .it is a bmw m50b25tu plug and play. what i am inquiring is, speed input to pin 42 (DI1) reads inactive. is this turned off, not configured or not getting a signal input from speedo. before i invested a crap load of time chasing the signal, i thought i would ask ty jack
