Having had a disaster on the dyno of my own making it's brought forward a new ECU change sooner than planned. I have been running Megasquirt (MS2 on v3 board) fairly successfully and it's been "ok" to get going on a budget.
I'm 99% sure I'm looking at the Storm G4X, so at least that's sorted. I've been running Edis coil packs with the Megasquirt, which to be fair to them have been faultless. For a Rover V8, with a trigger wheel on the crank, is that still the best approach (it was 2005 when I started the Megasquirt, so old tech now I'm guessing)?
I've read a little bit about tower ignition for the V8s, but I've yet to do any serious research. Is that a better bet nowadays?
Edit: I'm UK based if that has a bearing...
