Hi Everyone, Hoping to get a little input on a strange issue we are having. Specs are as follows 1JZ non vvti G4+ stock ignition stock injectors single turbo (6266) 7psi of boost it runs great and pulls all the way to redline no problems Once we up the boost and go for another drive it starts breaking up badly right around 5krpm. That is only at WOT. Partial throttle no boost it will rev no problem. I've attached a log of the problem as well as the current calibration. We ordered a trigger kit from 5-0 Ignite. I've linked it below. Will update once parts arrive. He's also considering swapping to the 350z coils or similar.. Thanks for all the help.

Plugs are gapped at .28 I was wondering about the optical being an issue as well. Figured we'd try the wheel and then if that didn't do it just bite the bullet on one of those $500 trigger kits. The log file I sent was revving the car in neutral. It happens just the same on the dyno. it's Paul Chamberlin's new car (Wiseconcepts) I think you two know each other.

S14 Sr20 with earlier coils and separate ignitor. They are these coils

The car has Tomei 258 Duration 11.5mm lift cams actually. The ignition system is stock coil on plug setup with ngk bkr7e plugs Thanks for the response Adam! I appreciate your advice and knowledge!

Hi all, We are having trouble with the Trigger 1 dropping out at high rpm on this sr20det car. We are on a link G4X with 6.23.6. It is an oem CAS and we tried swapping it with a different unit. Nothing changed. Ran all new wiring to the cas with a shielded ground, nothing changed. Is it necessary to go to an aftermarket trigger setup to resolve this problem? We ordered a 24 tooth AEM wheel that should be here this week to try. Thanks in advance. Attached is the current cal and the log file of the issue.
