  1. Hi hoping someone might be able to give some tips to help resolve my issue, getting super high readings of oil and fuel pressure but am 99% sure they are actually at normal pressures. link g4+ e36 m50 pnp m50b25 motor (turboed) 145psi linear sensors (same ones for oil and fuel) Sensors wired into link expansion loom both set to cal4 My oil and fuel pressure sensors are reading almost double the m50s standard pressures. I installed the oil pressure sensor first and when I did it read a standard pressure. A week later I installed the fuel pressure sensor, at first I have the signal wired to the wrong pin, realised when I opened pclink and then rewired it to the anvolt. Ever since then both the fuel and oil pressures started reading super high. Very unsure whats causing this especially since the oil pressure previously read correctly and the engine still seems to run exactly the same as it did. Hoping theres something dumb Im missing that someone smarter than me can point out. Thanks in advance!
  2. Sweet easy as, Ill just double check I got the plug pinned correctly then. And yeah, I didnt realise that old posr of mine had a reply on it and found it the other day, was super helpful actually!
  3. @Admiral Akhtar I have repinned the nv loom at the ecu plug and just yesterday switched the signal and ground wires on the cam sensor plug. That table helps alot thanks for that! Although from that table it seems like the shield wire should be replaced with a +12v wire? Would you happen to also know which pin on the ecu plug you put that into? Thats also good info on the tps thanks, I did seem to be getting correct signal from the tps but I will be double checking it now.
  4. sorry @Adamw a m50b25nv, nv standing for non vanos so pre the technical update. I should have also added that I had edited the trigger 2 values as to match a reluctor sensor that the non vanos engine uses. The crank sensor is also a reluctor type and have trigger 1 edited to suit that and that seems to be working fine.
  5. Hi Im just trying to setup my g4+ e36 pnp with a m50nv engine where the ecu connector has been repinned. My main issue is that there is no signal from trigger two at all, the wires have been checked for continuity and triple checked correct pins. Ive done a trigger scope and saw nothing on trigger 2. I was able to get an rpm reading by turning the trigger 2 sync to none. Although it still wouldnt start for more unknown reasons. Mainly first trying to figure out why the ecu wont read my cam sensor? I am yet to try a new sensor although I wouldve thought even if the sensor wasnt working correctly the ecu should still recognise that its there but just is faulty? Im a newb in this area and thought the pnp would be a bit sinpler so tips or ideas to try are appreciated!
  6. Howdy, Im in the process of setting up a g4+ pnp in my bmw e36 at the moment and currently just working out the MAP sensor. Im looking at either using the internal MAP sensor or running it through the AFM wiring and just had some questions about each methods. 1. If using internal MAP do I only need to hook it up to a pressure source? I can see its hooked up to An Volt 6, is there anything I should be connecting there or is that just stated for calibration purposes? 2. If running through AFM, since my AFM signal is already ran into the correct pin do I actually need to do anything else? Or would that already be done and can just set it up as is when calibrating 3. Should I just hook up both of these options? Also if Im missing anything please let me know haha! Thanks in advance.
  7. Hey everyone, Im really struggling trying to wrap my head around wiring in my wideband sensor. I have a G4+ pnp in my e36 and I just cant seem to find the right info on where things need to be connected or if Im missing things I need to make it work. I ended up finding this extension harness Aeroflow O2 Extension Harness Wideband Suits LSU 4.9 | eBay and was wondering if Id be okay just connecting this straight from the wideband sensor to the ecu? The I can just connect a power/ground/signal to my gauge so I can read my afr's in real time? Thanks in advance guys!
  8. Hi, Im just in the process of repinning my m50nv loom to suit the m50 pnp ecu as they use the pinout matching the m50tu. I gone through too many bmw technical diagrams and pinouts to work out where I need to put all the pins from my NV to match the TU pinout but am just stuck on the cam sensors. On my harness I have 'Cylinder reference signal B' (for the exhaust cam) and 'Cylinder reference signal A' (for the intake cam). From everything I can see between the link pinout and bmw's TU pinout theres only one pin for a cam sensor. Now Im new to the standalone setup and was wondering if anyone would be able to help me indentify where my pins need to go, and if youre extra nice maybe take a peek at my (probably confusing) spreadsheet to check if everything else is right?! Thanks heaps! m50nv to link pnp repin guide - Sheet1.pdf
