    Thunder ewg control

Is it possible to control a turbosmart ewg using a link thunder ecu? Reading various posts it seems it should be possible using ethrottle 2. Any idea on setup? I'll connect some wiring up later today and test anyway and update what I find

    Trigger errors

Hi, yes sorted, it was simply the air gap on the crank sensor. Wether or not there was another issue I had resolved when I was replacing other parts I don't know. The machining on the billet oil pump blank was obviously different to OEM hence the difference in air gap. Now iv closed it up the arming thresholds are much lower too Cheers

    Trigger errors

Standalone scope looks perfect even when the ecu is recording 30k rpm and trigger error counter is increasing With the trigger filter on 1 it only records the odd error aboke 6k with it on anything higher than 1 it gets more errors Re done engine to chassis and battery to chassis fm grounds just for good measure Also ran new sheilded cable with new pins for cam and crank sensors

    Trigger errors

Hi I'll do a recording on my oscilloscope and see what I can see on that. I did quite a few scope captures and they all looked fine to me Trigger 1 filtering has always been on 1 I just tried a few different settings but didn't make any difference Thanks

    Trigger errors

Hi, having trigger errors on my car, engine is a 2jz using 36-2 crank wheel and 1 tooth cam sync Was running fine last season, over winter I changed to a built non vvti head using cam sensor picking up from Exh cam gear, fitted dry sump setup along with some other small upgrades. Car was running fine with no errors last seasons Just to cover a few points, I have tried cam sync off and it still shows trigger errors. At one point with the engine running and cam sync off if I plugged in a cam sensor (not fitted to engine) It made the engine cut out then wouldn’t restart until I disconnected The engine is a 2jz with standard crank vr sensor and a non vvti head so use a aftermarket cam pickup which uses another identical crank sensor to pick up from a adjustable cam gear bolt Initially I thought it was a cam sensor fault causing trigger error but obviously isn’t as with cam sync off it still does it The car has done approx 6 hours on the dyno with no issues at all, went to track and had this issue so changed crank sensor, ran on dyno for a couple of hours to confirm it was fixed and all good. Went to track yesterday and straight away had issues. Sometimes it cuts out backfires and wont start until 10-20 mins (sometimes no signal on trigger scope when cranking but sometimes there is) I have tested wiring which is all fine, tried 3 genuine sensors and checked the pickup wheel for teeth damage and all seems good. The ecu has been on the car for approx. 4 years and running without fault, the only change to the car is the non vvti head and different cam sensor setup but like I say with cam sync off it still has the issue Also iv had the loom out, double checked all the wiring, changed the ecu earth to its own post on the engine block , the coils ground separately to the cylinder head Still the same, iv attached the tune and various scopes and log files. hope this helps Thanks Tune with new arming.pclr scope with errors.llg more errors.llg log while taking scopes.llg idle scope.llg cranking scope.llg crank no start.llg 3k scope.llg
