  1. Absolutely, nothing is worth my son's life or risking the lives of others. I would like to know what the safety features disabled are. What can actually happen with it disabled. I do know that if the gear in throttle body breaks the car will still run without throttle control and allow you to limp back, not so much safety as convenience. ABS, traction control, and even brake bias are safety features that get disabled/adjusted without issue. Knowing more about this would really help me have a educated conversation with my tuner on why I changed his settings that he has been doing for years.
  2. Thanks for the input. My son will be running FDJ3 this year so it is a comp only car. I am guessing that is why he chose to leave it in setup mode.
  3. Thank you, will be turning it back on then.
  4. Adam, thanks. I thought this was odd, but he is one of the high level tuners here in Japan, tuning alot of pro cars for drifting. If I turn it back on, could it affect some of the settings he made?
  5. I just had my supercharged 350z tuned and the tuner is saying to leave the e throttle in setup mode. What safety features are disabled by doing this?
  6. OK so I went to run the PC log and decided to go closed loop as you suggested and this settled the idle but I know that I would have to set up the closed loop idle, but there was a speed lock source that was driven wheel speed. I put it back to open loop and turned the speed lock source "off' and the idle was fine. Got excited and forgot to check the fan, but I am in the right direction. May have to set the driven speed lockout to 0, but I will play with that if needed. It is a drift car, so I think having it at 0 will be fine. Thanks for the help on this!
  7. Sorry, total newbie. I can tell you that once you unplug it the fan will stop running and the temp starts to rise. When you plug it back in nothing happens until the car is restarted then it is normal again. Fan is set to kick on at 80. I did not tune the car so have not really messed with settings, I will try the closed loop though and get another log.
  8. I have attached my tune and a copy of the log with the ABS sensor disconnected. You can see the temps go up quick and the fan inactive. Work fine when connected. Also disregard Lambda 1 weird reading if you wonder why it is whacky. ECU Log 2023-06-7 5;36;27 pm.llgx accel adj 051523.pclx
  9. Thanks, I think the ABS sensors provide the speed and are tied to the Engine Fan, driven speed lockout and maybe this is doing it, but not sure why that would make it idle higher, I will try to get some logs tonight. I am in Japan, so big time difference. With he one sensor unplugged I was not even able to manually force the fans on from the ecu.
  10. Hi, I recently changed my knuckles on my 350z and have to remove the ABS sensors from the front. I had one still plugged in, but the other one was unplugged. The car would idle high and the fans would not come on. Took a few minutes and kinda just guessed that was it but plugged it back in and restarted the car then it was fine. Did it twice to duplicate it. I did need see anything specific for this in the help section. Any ideas so I can remove these front ABS sensors would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Kris, thank you I do not believe I have the extended channels set, it was a little confusing as a newbie on that part and I saw many different readings on the CAN stream as it is configured. Also I was on Target Boost and not MGP. I'll take a look and appreciate the input.
  12. Kris, I've set up the Link CAN guage and other readings work just no boost when I select it. Do you now if there is something specific in the ecu that needs to be set to get boost reading on the guage?
  13. I just supercharged my 350Z and have a CAN guage installed but it does not read boost or vacuum. Is there something special I have to set up to get it to read boost since the car is not normally boosted?

    CANJST or PCB

Probably a dumb question but I am confused on which to use. CANJST OR PCB. I am planning to install 2 can lambda's and a CAN guage to my G4X. On the website its says to use the PCB for the CAN lambda, but if it is a CAN can't I use a CANJST and some splitters to link all 3 together. Thanks
