Yes just hook it up to an Aux, set it to PWM and adjust the duty. (use injector duty cycle as axis)

integrale8v reacted to Scott in Usb to CAN (tuning cable) pinout
I've just used a multi-meter on my tuning cable to work out the pins.
    Pin 5 is VCC
    Pin 4 is D-
    Pin 3 is D+
    Pin 6 is GND.

The aux outputs have a pull up resistor to 12V, so they are 12V when "off" and ground when on.  These can be directly connected to an aux out with nothing extra.  As Richard says though, the logic may be inverted ie 0% = max flow 100% = min flow, I have set one up before but cant remember if they work that way or not.
What is important though is they need a 3ms "wake up" pulse, so to do this you have a cell in one corner of your PWM table that it will always pass through during at startup (say 500RPM), then you can drop back to normal numbers after that.  Use 150Hz frequency and 50%DC to give the 3ms.
Read this for the min/max DC:  https://www.tecomotive.com/download/PWMinfo_EN.pdf

integrale8v reacted to Adamw in CANBUS OIL Temp from AN8
    Hi Mark,
I suspect the problem is your oil temp sensor being on a AV input is not actually assigned to the "oil temp" parameter but rather a "GP Temp" parameter that is not sent in the standard generic dash stream.  Attached below is a configurable version of the generic dash stream where I have replaced "oil temp" with AN 8 - Oil temp.
    MarkHellier.lcs

For any others that want it I will also attach an un-modified configurable generic dash stream.

I didnt look at all your logs but the couple I looked at show the ECU is on old firmware 5.6.2.  That fault was fixed in 5.6.3, so an update should fix it.

Yes, that was one of the first Efi engines I done about 20 years ago when I was a teenager.  Motec M48. Couldn’t get many SR20 parts in those days so had to make throttle bodies, camshafts, dry sump system etc from scratch.  Datsun 510 rally car.

Here is a good visual explanation of how the Ford Hi Slope/Low Slope works:  http://injectordynamics.com/articles/ford-injector-characterization/
I have a spreadsheet to do it but unfortunately it's not mine to share.  Since we are looking at just the difference between two straight intercepting lines it is fairly easy to do with standard Excel tools.

Ok, you can calculate that using the LSCOMP/HSCOMP.  Heres what I get:

Having said that, with a 830cc injector in a typical car engine, the ECU will unlikely ever access this table.  I doubt it will be any different than having it full of zeros.

integrale8v got a reaction from fiestacosworth in initial running. very lumpy can-lambda keeps cutting out when trying to autotune
He is running 36-1 multitooth / missing then he needs to have only 1 home tooth.

If he had been running with the stock 4 tooth wheel it would be okay in the "Ford Cosworth rs500" mode.

Have you modified the Phase sensor "trigger wheel"  This has 2 teeth stock.
There must be only 1 tooth on this with your 36-1 wheel and cam sync setup.

integrale8v got a reaction from TechDave in S54 Throttle Settings
The S54 is a bit tricky to calibrate due to the linkages between the throttle motor and the throttle body.  You cant use the automatic becuase of this.
    The way I do it:

Main TPS should be the one on the throttle body.
first with the motor not running, start logging in Pclink and just push the throttle body to full open. That way you get both max and min voltages for the both TPS.  Input these voltages manually in the settings.
Now you can start the engine but leave the E-trhottle in Setup mode.
The main TPS (on the throttle body) will be ok now, but to get the correct voltage for the Sub tps (on the motor) You must give full throttle with the e-throttle and read out what the voltages are now. And on idle as well for the closed voltage.
Input these in the setting and it should work i normal mode also.

Here is a pic of my PID settings. I have 2 or 3 springs installed.

    Hi everyone,
Well the FORUM pages certainly look a bit prettier than before.
I am still alive and still having good and bad days.
However on my good days i still try to support LINK/ViPEC customers and do a little tuning.
I also spend some time configuring and sorting issues for customers and friends.
Not sure if this has already been sorted but i have decided to make the post anyway due to sorting the issue testing and proving it works on Friday just past.
CAN BUS settings for both G4+/iSERIES ECU and MoTeC C SERIES COLOUR DASHES.
Please find attached sample PCL for G4+ using a FURY and MoTeC comms config files etc for C Series colour dashes.
    Any issues please advise.
Special thanks to my friend Mohammed from PCG (Pro Car Garage) in Saudi Arabia for testing my files as i had no dash to test on.
Simon and Adam if already done please delete.
This has been tested and is all working perfectly, there are a lot of parameters in my template, still room for a lot more to be added.
    Regards
    Dave.

integrale8v reacted to Ivaylo Angelov in Trigger Offcet menu is locked
    Hello Adam,
Just a little feedback. The engine is running on the factory settings. It is pig rich but running. First I tried with -84 deg offcet but received a pop inside the manifold. Then changed to 276 deg and it started like an OEM :-). The timing light showed 277 deg offcet is the perfect match. I checked the settings. The master was 15ms which appears to be too high for my 60lb Siemens Deka injectors at 45psi base pressure. I'm very happy with my Link ECU so far. Especially with the "Differential pressure" channel. A very, very useful thing.
    I'm still discovering the ecu's possibilities :-))
Here is a short video with the factory settings "in charge" engine start. Only 3"diameter short down pipe from the turbo. The idle is on two wire Bosch solenoid valve. Some problems with the alternator charging because I switched to a LED lamp. Fixed now.
Made some changes to the master fuel (13) and the idle table. Also added a straight muffler to the DP. Now I can hear the empty hydr.lifters knockng:
    Thank you very much!
    Ivo

integrale8v reacted to Adamw in Two (fuel related?) issues after firmware update
    Hi Mapper,
This bug wouldnt affect the common multi-fuel setups.  It is only when the dual fuel table mode is set to "overlay table", in this case no matter what value is in the table, the pulsewidth drops to zero and stops the engine.  This mode is rarely used so we think it shouldnt effect too many users and for those that it does effect it will be very obvious.
For multi-fuel setups the dual fuel table mode is "interpolate between" and this works as expected.
We have this fixed in the next release but it is still a little way off at the moment.

integrale8v got a reaction from Scott in Ignition table clarification needed.
I dont know about your timing numbers but the 10 degree in the calibration menu is NOT added to timing. That is just what timing the ecu is locked at while you adjust trigger offset.
Just lock your timing with the calibration menu and check your timing/offset with an ignition lamp and see if it matches. Then you have your question/doubt answered

It is safe to try with 276 degrees also. -84 or 276 is the correct angle for both m50 and m20.

With igniter I mean an ignition module between the coil and ecu.  The m50 coils can NOT be wired directley to the ecu.
