  1. Thank you for the response...but the Timers are not there on my VTS install. I'm running the lastest version of VTS, but haven't updated the firmware in a couple of seasons. Now that I know where the TImers are supposed to be, and that they aren't there, I'm guessing that to access the Timers I need to update the firmware. Correct? Thanks, Will
  2. I'm using VTS Version 4.9.3.1194. For the life of me, I cannot find where to set and configure the "General Purpose Timers". There is some setup information about Timers in VTS online help, however the help file does not say where the Timers are located in the ECU Settings window. Where are the Timers? Are they only available when connected to the ECU? I'm working offline. Thanks, Will
  3. OK, thanks Scott! What I want to do should work perfectly then. I will configure the PDM to supply power at all times when the ignition is on, including when cranking. Cheers, Will
  4. I recently installed a PDM (RackPak SmartWire) to replace every fuse and relay in my car, and replaced every scrap of OEM wire to boot (thanks to Neel and the gurus at ApexSpeed for supplying a lot of the materials to get the job done!). The SmartWire manual states Includes this warning: Note: Most ignition and ECU systems require a direct main power connection. This main power connection must go directly to the battery. DO NOT connect the main power wire from these devices to the SmartWire outputs. Each of these devices will also have a small wire requiring an ignition switched power source. This small wire will connect to an output from the SmartWire. How should my Vi-PEC V88 be powered? Is it OK to supply both of the the Vi-PEC's +14 power leads (both red wires - Pin # 5 on the "A" connector and Pin #5 on the "B" connector), with a single output from the RacePak SmartWire PDM? To date I am simply am running these +14 power leads directly to the kill (master disconnect) switch. I left the switch on one night, and the next day found the V88 warm to the touch. Ideally, i would power the V88 from the PDM, which in essence would make it a switched output. Thanks, Will
  5. This is awesome! Very inspirational for an electronics hack and Arduino fan like me. Thanks so much for posting this info, please continue to update this thread with more great stuff! Much appreciated! Cheers, Will
  6. I'm curious, how is this setup and configured? Is the output of the GPS connected to a digital input? Is that input set to "Frequency"? If so, have you tried a calibration which would multiply the frequency by 0.225?
  7. Is there a hidden option to enable more Cal or Cal tables? If not, are there any plans to increase the number of each that are available? My V88 has so many spare temp and analog inputs available, and I have good use for them, but none of the sensors I currently have in the car are supported! Most of them are 0-5v outputs from Autometer Elite gauges, and though they have a standard formula, each has a unique correction/calibration factor. Thanks in advance, Will
