  1. Yeah - 106mm Precision. See build thread http://performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67218679-1972-MS75-Toyota-Crown-Hardtop-1FZ-FE-turbo&p=842100891#post842100891 Looking to make 1500++hp I can set fuel pressure to whatever works - it's got a big Enderle mechanical pump and Aeromotive reg in preparation for running methanol, so fuel flow is effectively unlimited. A couple of calculators are indicating that pulsewidth will be down around 1.05ms on E85 with a 1000-1100rpm idle (cams are 298 adv duration, 420 lift, 112 LSA) Ideally it just runs both all the time to eliminate having to run a second stage - I'll have a crack running sequential with 2 firing together for each cyl. If it idles like a dog I'll reassess.
  2. I'm running 12 1600cc bosch indy blues in my 1FZ FE (4.5L 6cyl). Will I need to run a primary set and then a seconday staged set, or will the V88 run 2x1600ccs simultaneously at low pulsewidth/idle? Fuel will be E85 - and idle quality doesn't have to be perfect - it has massive cams/headwork and is primarily for drag racing - although I'd be keen on it being able to idle at around 1000/1200 rpm for occasional street duties. Ignition is M&W Pro Drag.
  3. Hi guys - I bought my V88 a fair while ago but am only now setting it up on the car. (has a serial in the 4000's and has been back to Vipec for an upgrade to current spects 12 months ago). There is a MAP and IAT sensor in the box and I just want to check that they are still good. (The IATs is what came with the ECU a few years ago and the MAPs is one I ordered through my Vipec dealer) The MAP sensor is a 5 BAR one I think. (I don't remember ordering it LOL) Yes? I'd also forgot there was an IAT sensor with it, so have been sorting out one of the Bosch 0 280 130 085 sensors recommended in the current manual download. When I checked in the box, the AIT that is in there is not the Bosch 0 280 130 085 unit. (see picture below) So - how does the calibration of this sensor compare to the default Bosch 0 280 130 085 IAT calibration that should be in my ECU? (as the ECU was sent back to be upgraded 12 months ago I'm assuming that the default calibration is for the Bosch 0 280 130 085 listed in the current manual) If the calibration is different, could you please let me know the specs for the one shown in the image below? Cheers
  4. Thanks Simon. Any pointers as to where I can get trigger wheels in Aus/NZ? Most of the ones I've found online are from US or UK. I can get one cut, but off the shelf is easier obviously. Needs to be 200mm dia or just over. Cheers
  5. Hi guys – I’m setting up my V88 at the moment and need to get a trigger disc onto the front of the motor. (It’ll go on the centre of the balancer) What I’m not sure about is choosing a trigger disc – ie 60-2, 24 tooth ect? Motor is an inline 6cy with cam ref signal. Top end is a later model head with cam posn sensor but the bottom end is earlier model so doesn’t have any built in crank position wheel/sensor, hence I need to add one. Motor will be spun to 8.5-9k rpm. The 60-2 wheel available through Vipec has the right dimensions – will that be fine for the job? Cheers
