  1. are we again looking at the Syvecs Closed loop fuelling strategies? The ability to have different closed loop trimming parameters in relation to engine load? Thanks

    GP RPM LIMIT

On a Link G4+ ECU no not yet. Luckily the cars we run Thunders in both have Motec dashes with SLM shift lights fitted so we flag a warning before there is a cut from a GP limit. It does need some more work I agree but the guys are moving forward but they need a little kick sometimes to hep them long the way...

    GP RPM LIMIT

very much like Syvecs , okay if the ECU has built in G sensor or your inputting a G sensor number into the ECU. A trip delay would be the easiest way out I feel for simplicity. Setting up a warning light would be pretty easy using a status input.
  4. These are a good set up for K20A coil on plug coils, comes Motec website. 8 4.8 9 3.5 10 3.0 11 2.5 12 2.1 13 1.8 14 1.7 15 1.5
  5. Did this change ever get looked into? Maybe we will see it on the next firmware upgrade?

    GP RPM LIMIT

When using a GP Limit as a safety trip would be a good idea to allow the RPM limit value to be a latched value RPM wise. Say using a fuel pressure trip , once it has tripped the Status to lower the RPM limit it will latch this RPM level until the Ignition power has been cycled? This will confirm to the driver that there is an issue. At the moment it will just bounce on the low RPM limit until the differential fuel pressure falls back to the correct level then the RPM level will fall back to the normal RPM level. Basically like the Syvecs trip set up. Would be good when setting up and using a lean trip GP Limit

    CAN-EGT module

We have used the latest Ecumaster unit with very good results. Honda Civic Drag car running Plug and Play Link ECU together with link canbus lambda and ECUmaster Can EGT. Making some good numbers so far IMG_0283.TRIM.MOV

    CAN-EGT module

We now have an ECUmaster Can EGT up and working on a car , we are using 5 EGT'S on a 4 cylinder car , so EGT per manifold runner and a single EGT at the collector. Seems a good cheap unit. Thanks

  10. Send me a PM with a contact number I will endeavour to help you out
  11. Have you inputted the new injectors battery offsets numbers?
  12. email me [email protected] and we discuss your requirements. I am away on holiday this coming week so I wont be able to reply to the week after. Thanks
  13. We use the Nssan 350Z pedal assemblyl which is cheap to buy and works very well. And data for set up available on the Link Help files
  14. Adam, I have the firmware link already. I can pull stuff across from my car that runs Syvecs S8 to help with a start up. I do have some questions regards changing a VQ motor from stock Crank trigger to 36-1 and changing the cam trigger thou which i will send an email to tech about.
  15. Cool your the other chap. Anything I can help with? I tune a lot of VQ's
  16. I dont think anyone has had a HR running on a Thunder yet, it is on my list to do , just need some time to study a wiring loom pin out for a HR and make a Patch loom. Latest Firmware doesnt have the HR crank/phase sensor set up yet either
  17. or just add a AEM trigger wheel to the CAS

    CAN-EGT module

I also have a car being fitted with this EGT set up in the next week or so Adam so I can help you out. thanks
  19. latest SDL firmware takes 13 Can frame so everything can be used. One small issue Oil Temp was wrong display changed the Multiplier to 10 Divisor to 1 and the Adder to -500 , all okay then. Lambda reading all sorted. Thanks
  20. Using a Thunder ECU to talk to Motec SDL. Only issue is the offset of the Lambda value on the SDL is wrong. I am seeing a Lambda of 7.65 which should be 0.765. Settings in the Motec Change com settings are as follows Multiplier 1000 divider 100 adder 0 I presume I need to adjust the above value to correct the Lambda value. Any help appreciatted. Thanks
  21. Adam, we got the 4wd working with the Thunder pretty easily. we spliced the wire that connects to the 4wd ECU to one of the outputs from the throttle pedal outputs (0-5volt output) Would be good to your work around thou @ Link HQ
  22. The guys @ link said you can remove some springs from the BMW DBW motor to drop the load require but I just went for a Nissan 350Z TB and removed the ITB's.
  23. I did speak to Simon regards this during the week I will ask him again. I think the BMW Motor pulls to much load for the Link ECU DBW motor.
  24. We went over to a Link Thunder to run DBW on a 32GTR bit now have an issue with no throttle output to the 4WD/ABS computer. Something we are looking into. If we could run DBW on a PnP GTR ECU that may have some help in making the change over to DBW easier.
  25. These ECU will fire a car straight away if everthing is all good on the Motor. We have seen issue with cheap aftermarket sensors that wont give a good signal and the other issue we see is the after market flywheels are under size and the crank triggers are too far away from the sensor this will cause ghost triggers.
