  1. Looking at this ecu for sale and have noticed an extra blue wire going thro the case not the multi pin plug onto the loom why would this be and is and is it worth buying it
  2. If it’s a g4 should already be unlocked unlocking code is when it is brand new to prevent it going missing in post or taken by someone prior it being received by original owner
  3. Simon or adamw hete is a ver 4 U.K. Impreza wiring for speedo circuit and see it’s a wire sensor which has a spinning magnet inside of it is it possible to picky back it to ecu so I use di4 and sensor ground ?
  4. Connect directly to ecu using di4 and do I use sensor ground for other wire as 2 wire speed sensor will the cam and crank signals not be affected if I tie in to sensor ground
  5. Speedo works fine no issues with that will try to wire it direct and see what happens
  6. Simon or adamw can you advise on above if it’s possible
  7. Simon or Adam w what you think is is it possible to pudgy back original 2 wire sendor
  8. Aussie wiring diagrams for a my98 has a hall sensor uk car has a reluctor 2 wire sensor
  9. a united kingdom k ver4 has a reluctor sensor as got spare sitting in kitchen for the 6 speed conversion it has 2 wires on a plug and according to wiring diagram goes straight to the speedo head, but on the ecu pin out on middle plug wire 3 says speed signal either 0 or 5v alternating as convertor inside speedo head to drop it to 0-5v alternating signal read on another site that the ver4 reluctor speed sensor will do 20v ac when up to speed, as spinning by hand i get 4v ac on plug and go to frequency i get 16 hertz is it possible to piggy back the reluctor cabling at gearbox and use it for ecu input on DI4 and still maintain speedo function, does the ecu not take any load from a gearbox sensor
  10. Must be missing a ground somewhere Will check new speed sensor on output
  11. Wired up to DI4 and enabled it as per settings no speed input showing on laptop tried rising and failing settings but nothing checked the Subaru wiring states it goes from 0v to 5v in square wave go as my speed sensor is a magnet based sensor 2 wire type not a hall sensor it’s a reluctor sendor only have 1 wire on Subaru loon saying vechile speed is there any other way I can get speed to work do i piggy back di4 and sensor ground with speedo and will it work
  12. Wired up to DI4 and enabled it as per settings no speed input showing on laptop tried rising and failing settings but nothing checked the Subaru wiring states it goes from 0v to 5v in square wave go as my speed sensor is a magnet based sensor 2 wire type not a hall sensor is there any other way I can get speed to work
  13. Thanks Simon will get it wired up
  14. I went from low impedance 650 to high impedance 565cc injectors and the fuel map was well out when driving on my ej20 turbo engine now been remapped and a lot better and feels like a different car and holds more boost than it ever did in mid range I would advise a retune ASAP to get the best out of it what mods are you running on the engine
  15. Simon can i use any of the DI inputs 1-4 for speed input or limited to select few ?
  16. My car is a Subaru Impreza ver 4 and according to your software pull-up resistor is OFF active edge is FALLING calibration di2 is 260 are these aettings ok to use on g4 storm wire in spwed sensor input comes from speed sensor on gearbox
  17. You want the g4 software not the g4+
  18. Simon the sample maps on the software for Subaru newage cars V7 onwards Is the ign dwell settings for the wrx or sti coil on plug setup ta Neil
  19. Could he have the probes round the wrong way ? If he is measuring from the loom
  20. What about waste gage duty table currrently TPS vs rpm
  21. is it possible to set up the boost table like the G1 ecu set up g1 has the rpm line and target boost underneath it and how do i do it on the g4 platform
  22. is the ecu staying active when its cranking or is he loosing the supply to the coil packs when cranking could it be a worn ign switch or relay
  23. Cheers have done that and seems to be running better since moving away from the low impedance and ballast packs juat awaits its return in 11 days
