  1. I have also tried re installing drivers the lap top thinking that was the problem but still no joy...
  2. Hi... I Have a customers car here. Its an r33 Skyline with a G4 plug in board in it. (About 2 year old i think) The car was mapped about 6 months ago with no issues at all. I now have it back at the workshop for more upgrades but now I cant seem to connect my laptop to the ecu at all. Im using the same lap top and the same version of Pclink I used previously... As I plug in the USB lead im getting the usual noise from the laptop to tell me it has recognised the usb device but when I click on the connect icon I just get the no connection made message everytime. I have tried pretty much every version of PC link thinking I had got the wrong one. Have tried 3 Laptops and a pile of leads... I have 2 other Skylines in the yard with LINK and can connect no prob to all of them... I then swapped the suspect ecu to one of the other skylines and still no joy. Wont connect Im not getting the update firmware messages either... It cant connect to the ecu either... It is password protected but Im not getting as far as that...Just wont connect. The car is still running fine. No issues there. If I try with earlier versions of PClink it tries to connect for about 30sec then says no but on the later versions instantly says NO... I have probed the +ve pins going into the board, they are getting proper 12.5v Has anyone seen this before??? Any one have any ideas??? Could there be a fault with the ecu??? if so can it be fixed??? Thanks Richard Bradley...
  3. Hello everyone... Im having trouble with an ICV on a Toyota 2JZ. We have wired it to Aux 5 6 7 8 Wired as follows: Aux:5..........ICV pin: 4 Aux:6.......... 1 Aux:7.......... 6 Aux:8.......... 3 Did not work... So we tried it the opposite way around...Still no good. Tested the ICV as toyota themselves suggest by earthing the pins in the order above. the stepper is moving but the Storm doesnt seem to be controlling it at all??? Having to jack open the throttle just to get it to idle. have I got the pins totally wrong or is there something else I am missing Its a 6 pin Stepper motor...2 middle wires are +ve Thanks...
  4. Hi to all... I have just fitted a wire in G4 storm to a 1JZ VVTi in an S13 Silvia... have the car starting and revving sweet until it hits 5000rpm then it just stops revving and backfiring...Will not rev past it at all on any throttle...Sounds very like a bad ignition misfire (lambda reading a bit lean too while its missing) Tried wiring in Nissan coils in case I had a bad coils but no different. Tried batching injectors differently too...At the min I have them batched 1 3 5 to channel 1 and 2 4 6 to 2....This engine has 1 Igniter and 3 coils...I have the coils batched 1 6...2 5...3 4. Checked trigger errors and Im getting NONE at all... Both crank and Cam sensors seems to be reading fine. If i switch VVT off the misfire seems to be a bit earlier in the rev range... Very strange problem...Just wondering if anyone else has had any similar problems and any ideas of solutions to my problem would be great... Thanks...
