Ah I'd missed that. I've just installed it and it then installed drivers too. Am I right in thinking I now need to re-install PCLink3.40 as the G4 software wont work with my G3? Â Thanks, James

How is the progress on this? Are the windows 8 version drivers complete? I'm not sure what I'll need to install to get this working so haven't got any G3 or G4 drivers as yet. Wingers

Does PCLink work with windows 8? My old laptop has died and I'm planning to replace it with a win8 machine so wanted to check this will be ok. Â Thanks, Â James

Thanks Scott,  I've had a look at that but it would appear to be based on the G4 ECU and I don't think the G3 is the same. Is that correct? The way I read it, the G3 options for a TPS-based Y-axis are equivalent to Load = MAP or Load = BAP/MAP/X-over in G4 terminology. If I set my G3 to "Throttle position - BAP correction" and then tune the car, will I get a map that is correct for ambient pressure but not referenced to manifold pressure at any point? If so then it seems OK and I can add my manifold pressure adjustment via a 4D table. That adjustment will then be from 0-3 bar Absolute. I'm still slightly concerned however that the values I tune into my fuel table will already allow for changing manifold pressures. Can you confirm if that is the case?  James Â

How does the barometric correction get applied to a TPS based load axis? I'm thinking of reverting to a TPS based load axis but I would like to understand how this standard correction is applied before I make the change. I was planning to introduce a MAP based correction by means of a MGP based 4D map, but I don't want to inadvertantly add in the same correction twice if its already in there. Does the Baro correction apply a 1% change to the value in the base fuel map for each kPa above/below standard atmospheric condition?  On a similar note, is it possible to obtain an electronic model that shows how the ECU works and calculates all of its parameters?  Thanks,  James

That’s disappointing. I was hoping there would be a fix to this so I could use the full functionality.  Sorry, I don’t fully understand your reply. Do you think that the whole table is working, it just doesn’t display an axis title or any breakpoints? For instance if I leave the x-axis as it is and set the y-axis to TPS & 10% increments then the table will be fine? What would the cells reflect if I then set the TPS increments to 2%  Sorry for the detailed request but I unfortunately suffered an turbo failure yesterday so cannot try this myself until I get a replacement.  Also, if I were to look for a G4 upgrade is there any way to do this other than buying a completely new ECU and then trying to sell on my G3? In other words do you offer a “trade-in†service or similar?  Thanks,  James

I've tried activating 4D ignition on my G3 LEM but the table doesn't update in PC Link. The options appear to set the table parameters (axis, start point, increments) but nothing changes on the table to suggest that it's working. all I get is Engine Speed accross the top in 500 rpm bands, starting at 0 which doesn't seem to change, and there is no title or header information on the Y-axis. Is this a known bug and is there any fix as yet, or have I missed something? Â Thanks, Â James

I'm planning to have the tablet as my in-car display so yes, more for the display than tuning. Although If it's possible then I'll see how it goes with tuning. My laptop battery has died so if it would work sensibly with the tablet then it would save me buying a new battery and/or laptop.

I've currently got a G3 ECU running my car and have previously used a laptop with PCLink installed to do the mapping, but I would like to start using a tablet instead. Has anyone already got that setup working and if not, is there any plan to release a version of PCLink that would run on a tablet? Thanks, Wingers
