  1. any news on when the Vista compatible release might be expected please? (or if its already been released?) I was led to believe the Link tuning software was ALREADY Vista compatible as its says the following on the site. "PCLink V3.34 (Build 1) - Latest Version for G3 and G2 based ECU's. Required for G3 and G2 ECU's with firmware version 1.7.1 or earlier. Includes USB drivers for Windows XP and Windows Vista." As a result i went out and bought a new Vista laptop especially for it, which of course fails to connect. Any idea when there might be a Vista fix please? If its a long way off I guess ill just have to spend more money and get a copy of XP that i dont want, wipe a perfectly good Vista install off , then install XP. Very disappointing really.
  2. Ashley, could you send the help file to [email protected] please.. any idea on timescale for PCLink 4 release? I cant exactly borrow someone elses XP laptop, ive just gone out and bought a laptop especially for the job. The laptop will be a permanant fixture in the car. Brendon, did you have issues with connecting to the ecu also (or just using the help files)? was that also fixed when you followed the procedure mentioned when trying to open the help files?
  3. Hi, Ive just had the G3 installed on my R33 GTS-t by a tuner. Ive bought a laptop (Windows Vista) especially for use in the car to monitor everything and adjust launch control etc.. I installed the Link software on the laptop (version 3.32. however when i connected the laptop to the ecu the Link software says the help files are unavailable as they were written in a previous version of XP and are not supported by Vista. Is there an update to fix this problem please? Without the help files i have no way of knowing what to do. Also, when i click the red 'L' button to connect the laptop to the ecu I just get "abnormal termination" error and link.exe shuts down. I pretty sure I have the correct port selected in 'Options - Connections' as it begins to read from the ecu prior to crashing out.
