  1. It’s a 96 spec b18c type r, but the early ef9 electronics were still used. Sorted now, the owner decided to convert to 24 tooth dizzy and I will set it up the same as I have before
  2. Thanks for your reply! It’s running k20 coils with the above triggers running in oem dizzy. Coil etc removed and all wiring re dine so only the 4 trigger wires in there
  3. Hi Team I've just wired in a monsoonX into a friends EF9 Civic. I've run into an issue with setting up the triggers. It runs a 16 tooth wheel in the dizzy I have run for trigger 1 and a single tooth wheel for trig2/sync. i cant for the life of me find where to set the trigger offset to? ive tried mostly 10 degree increments between -360 to 360 degree. Am i on the right track here? or am i missing something? would also be super helpful if someone had a ballpark figure i can enter to get it running and edit it from there. I am tempted to try the 24 tooth dizzy from my own similar car but that doesnt solve the issue with this dizzy. Any help appreciated!
  4. Hey bud can you expand on how you made it work and the difference between g4+ and g4x protocol. I’m struggling to get this sorted on my ek civic. Got it displaying fine on pclink as a % but even working in with powertune I can’t get it sorted.
  5. Hey team I and helping a friend wire a monsoon onto the same engine. Does anyone have a pinout for wiring the trigger to the dizzy? We are running Honda k20 cop coils too.
  6. i have a side query related to this, what is the best g4 firmware to run on a g3/4 the most current or one of the older ones? just curious as there are options in firmware updater
  7. sorted the issue, i have an absolute pressure sensor so .88v = 0psi, made a custom cal and use that and its perfect. Richard
  8. Hi all, have noticed another slight issue with my setup, its a g3/4 (upgraded yesterday) and am running a honeywell 150psi oil pressure sensor, with key on engine off sensor is at 0.88 volts, this shows up as 14.3 psi or 143kpa, what would cause this? is it a faulty sensor? I'm running the 150psi ti sensor calibration. not ideal really as it should show 0psi i would think? Cheers Richard
  9. hi Simon Checked the voltages and they were going negative to positive, swapped pins over and fired up first pop! Thanks heaps for your help! now its time to get it tuned! Richard
  10. here is a copy of my tune file. Hope you find something obvious Richard RichardHainsworthmap9915.pcl
  11. From memory the arming voltages are 0.5 v, noise could be a problem i have rewired it fully with a new loom from link so i would hope the sheilding etc is ok. i have checked cam timing and it is perfect. i think the errors were up around 18? so definitely a problem there i think. ill get the tune file copied from the ecu tomorrow and upload it asap! Really appreciate your support Simon A+++ Richard
  12. Hi Simon yes am getting rpm signal around 300rpm with running car attached with jumper leads, i am getting a few trigger errors though, what causes this? afaik it has standard subaru v1-6 trigger setup could it be a faulty sensor? ill upload a copy of my map asap its on my windows laptop which is with car which is not where i live, hopefully wednesday =) any other ideas? Richard
  13. Hi team Went for the big start today, i am using the v3/4 base map with the ignition map copied over from the v7 base map as I'm running coil on plug from a legacy gtb. Engine is just a rebuilt V4 Sti with forged pistons and eagle rods, standard heads and cams. Intake manifold is custom with decapped v5/6 yellow injectors which are around 850cc, standard throttle body. NO IAC valve. Turbo is a garrett GT3071r but is not plumbed in at the moment for first start. So the problem is it won't start, it pops occasionally through the exhaust and I've played around with fuel master ranging from 4 - 14 the higher i go the closer it seems to starting. it seems like the timing is off but cam timing is perfect and ignition timing seems good from what i can check so far Any ideas? could the lack of iac be causing it to be very rich? I've checked spark and injectors and they look to working fine, spark seems a bit weak but it is firing occasionally. Any help appeciated Richard
