  1. What are the main noticable differences that make the cost worthwhile? Ie i know the boos control is supposed to be better?

  3. Just wanting to know whether there is any point ditching the Gizzmo IBC and moving to using the Link as boost control. Im very unsure as they use the same solinoid whether there will be any advantage in doing so. The Gizzmo at present is giving me a few issues controlling boost, but i dont want to upgrade if the link isnt any better as ive been told Links boost control has historically been pretty bad. Any opinions or experiences that may help?
  4. Does no one from Link actually check these forums? I wouldnt mind getting this sorted asap. Ive also written into the email address. I did get a responce, but havent had one since and its been quite a number of days. I hate to sound somewhat rude, but half the reason that so many Vipecs are being sold in Australia is Link's rubbish reputation for after sales support. I can certainly see why now.
  5. Just wanting to see whether anyone has done any back to back tuning on a car before and after an E10 tune. Just thinking about running my car on it. Im aware of the increased consumption however being potentially able to wind in a bit more ignition timing sounds promising. Any results?
  6. Thanks for that. Maybe my computer doesnt connect properly. Ive sent an email now as if you have a map that would work with my configuration (or you could quickly change it) that would be brilliant. Any other hints you would suggest when starting it for the first time. The engine has been built from scratch and a similar engine hasnt run in the car before so i want to make sure it works perfectly before it gets tuned.
  7. By the way the Ecu is an LEM G3. If there is a base map i sure dont know how to find it.
  8. Hi there, When i brought my link i thought they came with a few base maps. Dont know why i thought that but turns out my computer doesnt. Can someone email me a base map so i can at least get the car started? Would rather start it myself than drag it to a tuner miles away to find out there is an oil leak. Do i effectively bridge the ignition wires so 1,6 2,5 & 3,4 are running off the three output wires from the link ignitor and merging into the 6 that goes into the nissan loom? Im likely to find tacho there also. Is there anything else i need to do? Thanks

  11. Hi there, Im going to be running Mitsi Evo coils in wasted spark with the ignitor. The Nissan ignitor seems to be completely different in the fact that it gets it signal from the loom however doesnt return it anywhere as the link wants to do. Thanks in advance for your help Cheers
  12. Hey there Im going to be running Mitsi Evo coils on an rb25 running in a wasted spark config with a LEM G3 computer. What im wanting to know is whether using something say like a Mitsubishi Diamante Ignitor is going be much / if or any worse than the Link item as the difference in price is rather high. Thanks Byron

    Hey Ashley, im really interested in this as id like to buy my computer soon. So if i run a set of wasted spark coils (what type do you reccomend) with leads and a three channel ignitor on a G3 everything will work perfectly and i wont have any problems with coil failure and as im going to be running three channels im not going to have any problems with the spark. Just for my understanding also as an ECU is a big purchase. WHat does the 3 channel amplifier do?

    Thanks Ashley for that information. What would you suggest to do in the case of running a three channel wasted spark setup. I dont know a great deal about these i must admit however ive heard a combination of vn commodore coils and leads seems to work reasonable. Ive also seen falcon and mitsi coils used. Can you give me some info regarding this? Would it otherwise be a better idea to use a G2? Thanks Byron

    excellent one thing which im interested in is the fact the rb's have problems with their coils. the g3 only runs 4 coil outputs and therefore the computer would need to be run in batch mode which apparenty kills coils any comments re that

    Are we going to get something better in the form of a Link G3 to plug into the ecr33 loom. Apexi has stopped making the powerfc and by all accounts your computer looks better anyway so is this likely? Cheers
