  1. Hey, i have a honda k20a2 with hc20x plug and play ecu had the car on track for the first time today and have noticed a few drivability issues i was hoping someone might be able to help with? so on the dyno when the car was mapped it made the figure i was expecting but at the vtec crossover/engagement the dyno graph take a massive drop and climbs back up, tuner said the car kept spinning the wheels and wanted to leap out the dyno which was causing this dip. after driving it today on track i feel there something not right, its more noticable in higher gears but theres a noticable flat spot on crossover and engine note kinda drones before picking up again. can anyone check over the settings incase something is wrong or do you think the crossover is set at the wrong rpm causing this? also when trying to drive around paddock in 1st/2nd gears at a steady speed the car starts to kangaroo and is rather annoying, fine if you just put the foot down but if you just want to drive at a steady 10mph or so it doesnt like it at all, again i think this dbw needing refined somewhere in the settings? also wondering if anyone can assist with a math equation using 4 wheel speed inputs to trigger an abs fault/alarm for my dash when one stops reading any help/advice appreciated, will be racing the car in 6 days so be handy to get these niggles ironed out if possible thanks k20 mini map.pclx
  2. Sorry for all the questions, the cars you’ve had the mk60 transmitting can did they have the original dash clocks? Something either standard clocks or ecu apparently send a wake up signal, as I no longer have either it’s not getting this wake up signal and if I connect link ecu directly to mk60 only I still get no can signals from the mk60 the mil output is supposed to pull to ground when everything is ok (no faults) and goes to open circuit when there is a fault. Or am I completely misunderstanding it which explains why I can’t get it to work appreciate your time to help
  3. The car isn’t mapped yet so not driven it. the abs is outputting 4 speed signals from the pinned output (not via can) and I have these into the ecu. the abs Shoukd also have a mil light output on pin 44 but this doesn’t appear to be working as described on many forums, mine appears to be constantly pulled to ground so I either need to get the abs to transmit can messages so I can use the mil output via can or I need to have some kind of math equation to use the 4 speed signals the ecu is getting but this is where I lack the knowledge just to be clear on what you’ve said, you have had mk60 connected to ecus with mini stream selected and the abs was giving the ecu can wheels speeds etc?
  4. ok managed to solve the dbw and no start issues (i had a power supply issue), only issue left is to try get the mk60 abs unit to transmit can data to ecu/dash when you read online some ppl say the abs only needs a 12v wake up signal (i dont think this works) some say itll only transmit can data with an emulator fitted, can anyone help with getting the link ecu and dash to comunicate with the mk60 unit? i have pre-selected the mk60 can protocol on the dash and mini r50/53 in the ecu and still cant get any data out the abs to dash has anyone worked with the mk60 abs unit before? all im really after is setting up a fault light on the dash to let me know the abs has failed, the unit has an output for mil light but just seems constantly grounded regardless if there is a fault or not (meant to go to open circuit when there is a fault and pulls to ground when ok) so the only options i can use are get can data working and use the mil error stream to trigger the lamp or use the 4 wheel speeds i have into the ecu to trigger a fault warning when one wheel stops reading speed but i cant figure out how to make it work that way so it only triggers a fault when the other wheels are getting a reading and one stops for me easiest option would be if can data was being sent from abs unit and i can select that to trigger the dash icon and led warning lamp any advice greatly appreciated as i know nothing about can bus
  5. i have changed the idle and dbw issues and appears to be working now thanks, however the car will still not start every time i crank im getting - rpm limit activated and injector duty cycle error above high value in the events log the injector duty one doesnt always flag up but has only ever happened since ecu was damaged and has never started since, rpm limit one appears on every attempted start up
  6. Hey, im having a few issues with my hc20x plug and play ecu and not sure if its user error or something else so looking for help please i have converted a r50/53 mini with a k20 engine from uk spec civic type r, when i initially done the conversion the car started on the start up map, i decided to change to dbw and upon doing this i managed to damage the ecu board and the car has never started since. the ecu was sent back to link hq to repair the damage caused by myself and also fix aux9/10 issues that known about these ecus, anyway ecu was fixed, tested and all tests passed after searching the forum i managed to get the e throttle to work but not correctly evidentally, tps calibration works and aps calibration works but tps is reading around 30% with engine off and when i try to start the car it fails to start and throws 2 error codes 69-e-throttle max % dc limit and 75- e-throttle 1 tps/target error. i've also noticed when i depress the throttle pedal fully the tps reading will take 1-2 seconds to reach 100% but will drop instantly when i release the throttle pedal would these faults prevent the car from starting? or do i still have an issue from the board damage that was fixed? the other thing i need help/advice with is canbus related. im running this ecu along with link mxg strada dash so the mini abs unit is no longer communicating via canbus. its a teves mk60 abs unit which should work in standalone mode but its throwing canbus fault codes and i think this is preventing the abs light ive set up on the mxg strada from working correctly and just stays on from what i can figure out the abs unit looks for a can signal from original ecu/dash, in the link ecu can setup there is a mini r50/53 predefined option, if i select this does this transmit a can signal to replicate the mini canbus system or is it just looking for the mini can signal from the car? the dash is also meant to have a mini predifined can file (i cant find it though) again is this just looking for the can signal or does it transmit it? i understand these may be stupid questions but i need to get the car running to check/finish things off before sending off to be mapped thanks in advance MINI K20.pclx
  7. I’ll have another look at it tomorrow when I have more time but I’m not 100% clued up i did look at the table and it is infact full of zero’s and there’s also a couple other settings that are empty which after searching this forum have found required settings for my throttle body I just started to wonder if there was something I missed wiring wise regarding the e-throttle relay
  8. Hey, can anyone offer some advice. I’ve wired up the dbw throttle body and pedal and I’m getting throttle and pedal readings as I should and calibrated them but it doesn’t appear the throttle body is working (I only spent 10 min at it so could be setting related) but what I wanted to ask is what do I need to do regarding aux 16 which is for the e-throttle relay do I need to wire this up to a relay? I was under impression this wasn’t so but maybe I’m wrong thanks
  9. Is anyone able to send a close up pic of the marked area, I’ve stupidly managed to damage the board and trying to see what it should look like
  10. Hi, im looking for some info regarding dbw setup i have a r53 mini running Honda k20 engine and g4x hc20x plug in ecu i have the engine up and running on a base map with a cable operated throttle. im now considering swapping it out and going dbw instead, am i right thinking i need to use aux 9 & 10 to power the throttle motor? Or is there other outputs that can be used? thanks in advance
  11. Hi, I apologies if these questions are stupid but I have zero experience when it comes to canbus so the background is I have a 2003 Mini Cooper s r53 which is running a Honda k20 engine with link plug and play g4x ecu and original Honda loom i have completely stripped the mini of all its original components except for the abs unit ive binned the original dash clusters and replaced them with link mxg 1.2 strada dash the original canbus setup on the mini connected the abs unit, engine ecu and dash clusters together now I need to try get the mini abs unit, link g4x and link mxg 1.2 strada talking to each other I have the mini abs unit connected to the g4x ecu can 1 the ecu can 2 is connected to the link dash and can lambda I’ve preselected the mini r53 option in the ecu can 1 menu and in can 2 I have that set for can lambda and dash as per the instructions for the dash and lambda the dash seems to display the ecu data and ecu picks up the can lambda when searching for devices so I’m guessing these 2 are setup correctly in the ecu (I’ve not set up anything in the racestudio3 software yet but dash is receiving ecu data) what I’m struggling with is figuring out how to get info from the abs unit, all I’m needing is wheel speeds and error light data so I can have an abs light on dash when system fails as mentioned above I’ve preselected the mini r53 option hoping the ecu receives the required data so I can transmit that data to the dash but have no idea what I’m doing and can’t figure out how to see if ecu is receiving abs data I hope this makes sense thanks
  12. i'm looking into buying the ttg4 ecu for my 1.8t but as its a new unit info seems to be pretty limited about this item i'm looking to fit it to my 2004 leon cupra r 225bhp, this car came with a wideband lambda and egt sensor from factory and was wondering if this ecu supports these as most 1.8t's didnt come with egt or wideband. also wondering if this ecu will effect the factory traction control or will it still function with this ecu fitted? is there any sensors on the engine this ecu will make redundant? i.e knock sensors, air intake temp sensor? basically i'm looking to find out what will work and what wont work from the original engine as this is a direct plug in ecu. 90% of 1.8t's are all the same but mine came with the egt sensor and wideband lambda. engine is the 225bhp 1.8t bam engine code, this engine is also found in audi s3's and tt's any help is greatful thanks
