  1. Got it sorted. It's worth noting for future searches that the ECU comparison document shows plugins as having features they could have, not that they do have. If it's not there, then it is on the ECU board but not actually wired out to the OEM connector. In my case, I've decided to alter the board and wire out the inputs/outputs I need. If I could go back I would have just ordered an xtreme unit but this solution can be made to work for my needs. -Michael
  2. Hopefully I'm OK. I bought the WRXLink 4 G+. It clearly shows that it supports e-throttle. -Michael
  3. I wish I had the scrollback from the tech support chat but I specifically asked if it could do e-throttle and I just spent a good chunk of money on it for that specific reason. I hope you're wrong. -Michael
  4. I wanted to add e-throttle to my STi V4 so I could run proper cruise control and be rid of the factory idle control valve (future custom intake manifold). I also neede proper E85 fuel support. After an extended discussion with tech support, it was recommended that the G4+ could accomplish this. So I've removed my G4 to do the upgrade. The docs seem to indicate that only outputs 9 and 10 must be used to drive the e-throttle motor but I can't figure out which spots they occupy on the connector. My setup is nearly standard except that ign 3 and ign 4 are occupied for fully sequential ignition and I'm running an analog input from the wideband. -Michael
  5. Just wondering how I could get the injection to go to 0 while cranking above 80% throttle. I'd like this to help with cold start tuning. It's -28C here and pulling the sparkplugs from an EJ20 is not fun. -Michael
  6. Standalone ECUs with good basemaps are derived from the factory settings so a good cold start and idle can be achieved out of the box. Fuel and timing are normally more conservative at power settings for obvious reasons. While I don't mind doing a complete tune I would prefer not to mess with things if the settings are already correct and the coldstart fuel is being hampered only by incorrect injector latency or size. Can you explain how the basemap settings were derived?
  7. Can anyone comment on how close the basemap is for the plugin G4 on an STi V4 vehicle? I've installed it on my own vehicle and although it starts reasonably well on the first crank the vehicle has been flooding itself after a few cold starts. Â I haven't had much time to tune the vehicle yet but I did drop the master fuel value down enough to get a nice stoich idle. Are the cold-start values generally bang on already or does the map really need work? I'm just trying to determine if I should restrict my changes to the fuel injector settings, injector latency and such? The engine is close to stock with only a slightly higher compression ratio which really shouldn't affect startup that much.
  8. Is there any way to wire up a G4 storm so it provides a turbo timer function? It would be exceptionally cool if it had features to calculate the cooldown time, for example EGT input, time on boost during the last x minutes of running and all that but I'd be happy with a fixed 30 seconds.
