  2. thanks for the reply so basically with quick tune i would not have to go to a tuner to get the ecu tuned to my car correct? also i imagine i would need a wideband sensor as well? is there anything else i would need to use the auto tune feature? cheers
  3. have the v3-4 subaru base map on a ej20tt (ej20h) motor base map is unchanged and master fuel is set at 8ms also on thid engine what would be the correct dwell time it is currently at 2ms cheers
  4. my ecu shows a temp reading of 60 degrees celsius but my dash gauge shows 175 degrees celsius is it in fareinhight thanks

  6. hello have a ej20 turbo subaru engine and was confused by so many base maps on the lem3 is there one already in my ecu or do i have to put the base map in i get my new lem on tuesday. thanks
  7. have a ej20 subaru motor coil on plug and injector for each cyl and using a new lem 3 (non link plus) wich fuel type do i use sequetial or another thanks

  9. hello had a problem with my ecu sent it out for repairs the company check it reconfigured it and it still will not connect to lap tom com 1 is working the car spits and sputters but still will not start (never did) sent ecu for repairs because of a short circuit and would not start the car now i had repairs done got the ecu back and car wants to start but i cant configure it properly because it cant connect is there a possibility my serial adapter is toast if so is there a usb conversion i have a link plus g1 v14 for a subaru 2.0 or 2.5 thanks
  10. hey ashley made all the changes to the car you suggested wanted to fire but then my trouble light wivh is 110volts had a frayed wire on it and it arced on my car now the ecu cannot detect the link anymore i removed the top cover and removed the board nothing is blown nothing smells burnt i think the chip is done ill have to buy another link
  11. hello emgine doesnt run again wants to fire up but stumbles alot then backfires it was runnin the day before now its not very frustraded i dont understand the manual for the link plus it says i can choose dwell time , direct spar, row, all these options i have a ej20h or ej20tt from a liberty legacy i have a link plus with a black box on a ribbon tape that connects to my link to comp i pressume it is a g1 in the manual it say initial start up on page 115 click ignition change dwell time to 3ms there si no 3ms on 4ms and 5.5ms also it says choose multi spark or dist i have coil on plug i chose multi spark then it says choose direct spark there is no option for direct spark or wasted spark when open pc link what do i open up to modify my ecu so far i open up pc link and open sample links plus and use that one everytime i open pclink i cannot get my engien running because the manual does not match what the computer shows thanks for the help
  12. thanks for all the help engine is running very rich but running i keep reading in the manual that i can tune my engine in the tunning section i dont see anything on pc link i have pc link version 2.5 i belive my ecu is a g1 as it has a flat ribbbon cable to connect to computer also if i make changes how do i get the changes to save into the link ecu thanks
  13. i was wondering im about to fire up the motor does the ecu havea basic map to make the engine run on the first shot and then you fine tune afterwards or do i have to pre programm each thing one by one befor e the unit is used its a link plus g1 i think connect laptop voa flat serial cable
  14. sorry about the missing info engine is a 1995 liberty ej20 h or ej20tt tein turbo to connect to laptop it is a serial cable yes with a small black box on the cable i have wired the factory igniter to the coil on plugs the igniters are not on coils it appeasr it has an internal map sensor on the link itself so i will use that one im only using 20psi boost. i only have a couple of questions left tha crank sensor and cam sensor on the subaru ej20 engine has 2 wires i presume one is ground and on is signal to ecu i am not sure what wire is ground and which is the signal wire also it is a shielded wire from the sensors to the ecu. thanks
