Hi Rob, I've been running a d42v5d on my st185 for a while and it really does work a treat. Until someone gives you some definite information, I thought I'd give you some sort of info My understanding is that 2 different versions of the V5 were made for the gt4s. Given mine would be rev1 for the earlier gt4s and is a v5d, perhaps yours is the later edition (v5e) and, as such, perfect for your car. The sub24new seems to indicate that it's for the 24 tooth crank wheel which is certainly for the gt4s in general though getting the wiring to the dizzy right can be fun I hope this helps, Shawn

Good morning guys, I've just upgraded the LEM in my GT4 to a G3 and now have the old "3sgte D42V5d250505" LEM spare. I'm looking to put a 1uzfe into my Surf and am hoping I can use this ecu (though I'm starting to fear not without some significant changes). It was initially wired into the gt4 using the adaptalink. Any thoughts/suggestions? - Shawn
