  1. OK. After more thought, especially about the backfiring I figured there is spark and fuel, just not at the right times. So, we adjusted the CAS wheel and bingo, she fires up (badly). More adjusting and it is now running fine again. I guess my question now is: Every time I remove and replace the computer (or disconnect the battery) do I then need to re-adjust the CAS?
  2. I have a Toyota 4AGE in my offroader, running LEM G3, 4AGZE CAS, dual coil packs, Link 2 channel ignitor. The wiring and setup was done by Hitech Motorsport and it was all running well - until now. I finished my last race 3rd June, the car ran sweet all day. Got the car home, washed it, removed the computer. Then we set about modifying the sump, exhaust and rear cage/engine mounts etc. Finished it all last weekend, got it back together, replaced the computer and it won't start. There seems to be plenty of fuel. I have had the injectors out and tested, they are all fine. There is spark, but it is a lot weaker than I would have expected and the spark plugs look very dry. As I said, we removed the computer before any welding on the car. The Link 2 channel ignitor was left mounted. If I turn the engine over it doesn't get excited at all until I take my finger off the start button, then it backfires. We have made no changes to anything except the sump and exhaust. I have plugged my laptop in and observed what happens when the engine is turned over. All voltages and input signals look OK, but I am no expert. Any ideas?
