  1. hey, just had a question which i know has been asked several times. but i was curious if the next gen of your ecu's will solve my issue. im looking to run traction control, on a s15, which has front wheel speed sensors with approx 50 teeth per rotation. with an oem reluctor sensor. q1/ i was aware that the ecu had a limitation on max frequency which was limited by the processor capability. with the new g4x processor, will this significantly increase max frequency. from some rough calcs i suspect the max frequency as configured currently will be about 1750hz q2/ currently the factory sensor is a reluctor type, would you recommend changing to a hall sensor be advise? q3 / is there any anticipated release date for the furyX?
  2. log attached. had to zip it to meet file size limit. log file.zip ecu-pre-ethanol-sensor-boost-bypass.pclr
  3. Hi Guys, Had an issue at a race meet at the weekend. no mechanical changes were made to the car nor wiring, or ecu settings. after what appears to be sustained periods on the brakes ( end of the straight) scenario it appears that the ecu is failing to reach target position for the Bosch DBW and is sitting the controller at max DC% until the ecu goes into fault with Code 84. which from having researched as much as i can on this before posting is because, at sustained high DC the controller will either be getting very hot or exceeding the maximum permit-able current. Im just hoping for some insights into what could have caused this as nothing has changed setup wise with the car. attached is a screenshot log (the actual log is too big to upload), of whats going on.throttle body is only a few months old and was a brand new genuine item. ecu is a G4+ Xtreme Black. Earlier in the log, you can see that the only way to get the ethrottle to re-activate was to shut the car down (kill isolator) then restart.
  4. Hi all, i was hoping someone might be able to help me identify what this component does on the ecu's bottom board. and what the effect's would be if it was in a non-functional condition
  5. Hi Michael, I run PCLink on windows 8.1 with no problems. I couldn't give you a technical answer as to whether its compatible but it works for me. Worst case you could run it in compatibility mode if you had issues. Paul
  6. Thanks for the reply guys, David, you correct. I'm talking about a small capacitor that is wired into the #1 coil. on the sr20det loom it is remote mounted near the oil filler cap on the engine loom. I forgot to mention in the first post that this is on a s15, so it doesn't have an ignitor. Ive done some research into what it "does" however it really wasn't clear other than saying it was required for some "older" ecus. so i thought id ask everyones thoughts
  7. Hi everyone, I just had a quick question regarding the ignition condenser fitted to the factory SR20DET loom. Basically what i was wanting to know is, is it still required when running a G4+ (plugin). the main reason i ask is im just trying to tidy up some of the unused or unnecessary wires+plugs and wasnt sure whether this is still required.  Thanks Paul
  8. Hi Daniel, thanks for the info. Could you tell me where you sourced the KMS uego from? and how much it cost you?, pretty interested in one. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the reply Dave, So just to confirm really, i had been looking at the AEM 4 channel UEGO controller. if i was to pursue using one, chances are id still have to use the analogue outputs into the G4+. The main reason i found the CANBUS UEGO attractive is that it should eliminate the ground offset issues that compromise accuracy sometimes with analogue widebands, any thoughts or am i worrying about nothing?
  10. Hi all, Just had a quick question about the compatibility of other canbus devices with the G4+. Basically what i would like to do is run a wideband o2 via canbus to the ecu. As far as im aware link do make one themselves but the likes of AEM and Haltech do? could someone please let me know if these units will work on the G4+. Thanks
