  1. Thanks Adam, that was the one. One weird thing. I followed all instructions and it didn't work, so just to test I used all the settings as described, but selected CAN2 , even though we plugged into Can1 port on the ecu, then the CAN Lambda came on .... weird
  2. Sorry Adam, but which pins should be used for the CAN H and CAN L cables? there are 5 pins on the can connector on the ecu board, as per the picture, kindly let me know clearly which pin ( from left pin 1 to right pin 5) must CAN L and where CAN H must be connected? The grey circled connector
  3. Adam, kindly confirm, the CAN LAMBDA goes on the grey circled plug and the IAT goes on the yellow circled plug ? One one of the volt 6-9 pins ?
  4. I wish the sales team would have told me about this cable Many Thanks Adam !!

    Cold start

You are correct ... obviously .. sorry my mind was set on a turbo car and not thinking it through ...
  6. Good day .... kindly confirm correct "install and configure" for this sensor Once physically installed, we connect it on an available AN port on the ecu right? Then, in the ecu, we go to "Analogue Inputs" and then select for instance AN1 Temp 1 where it is connected. Then under sensor type do we select "Link NTC1-8 & IAT1-8" or do we select "Link NTC12 & IATB" ?? Many thanks as always
  7. Adam, kindly confirm all the steps to be taken when installing a Link CAN LAMBDA system please, for future reference Physical installation we know. On which port do we connect it to on the ecu ? DI port ? Then inside the ECU itself, how do we "enable" it and what other settings must then be enabled and configured ? Kindly assist and MANY thanks as always for your kind support. You need to make the highlighted cell 32 and store and try again . If it sounds better , then make it 35 and see if that is about right or much better

    Cold start

Hi! What is your AFR reading ? On cold start it should be AROUND the 12.5 AFR range when idling On cold start settings, check the following : Pre crank table : value of 25 in the 20 degrees , 30 in the 10degrees and 40 in the 0degrees, 22 in the 30 degrees filed Crank enrichment table: 225 in the 0degrees, 155 in the 10degrees, 115 in the 20degrees, 85 in the 30degrees Post start enrichment table: 150 in the 0degrees, 110 in the 10degrees, 80 in 20degrees, 60 in the 30degrees warm up enrichment table: 35 in 0degrees, 25 in 10degrees, 18 in 20 degrees, 15 in 30degrees. These are pretty accurate 550 injector guessing, if your fuel pressure on idle is 2.9-3.2 bar VERY IMPORTANT: I have fixed many cars with cold start issues, because the values are too high or low in the startup section of the MAIN FUEL table. Check the values on the main fuel table when car is cranking and make it 10 less or 10 more than original value currently and hear which one made the car start better etc.
  10. Sorry Adam, I need the G4+ format please !
  11. Adam, what version subaru sti do you guys have? can you share your pclx file with me please ? Kindly share your pclx (map) file with me, what year model or version sti do you have ?

    Cold start

Random question, you don't have access to an AFR reading on your car, to see if it is actually too RICH or if indeed it is too lean ?

    Cold start

Under your cold start settings: Pre crank Prime must be set to Ign start position and in the Pre-Crank Prime table you must have values for the -30 to 50 degree fields. All depending on what size injectors you have, but on the 10 degree cell you should have the number 30 in there about , 25 for 20 degrees, 20 for 30 degrees etc.
  14. The highligted area is the vacuum area we are talking about, should I change the 30 to 15 and then on the fuel map make it rich ?
  15. Kindly indicate what the timing must be ? 0 or negative numbers or what ?
  16. Yes I agree ! I am making final arrangements with client orders and will order one ASAP ! Will drill a hole just before (10 cm or more) before the AEM water/meth nozzle to get the 100% correct IAT readings in the system.
  17. HI guys We have an upcoming event next month where we will be advertising the Link range of products. To obviously make the maximum amount of attention, I have been trying to get the car to spit some flames when backing of on the throttle etc. See attached file I have and whether I am on the right track, or what must be changed? What I did was I disabled Overun Fuel cut. Then I made the AFR very lean in the vacuum area when I leave the throttle and the car is in maximum vacuum without my foot on the accelerator. I can hear the pops and bags as they call it, is that it or what else should I do or set. I am also running a water/meth system the whole time, if it is relevant. Again, thank you so much in advance ! 1.2 BAR MAP.pclr
  18. Ok lemme make a plane then with that !! will fit the stock Maf sensor, which has the IAT tensor on it close to the intake filter to try and get an average temperature reading
  19. We misunderstood each other I know what you meant with changes in IAT yes. That stayed the same (IAT), we at sea level and the weather was the same the whole day. You say that I must fill out the IAT compensation table, but that is what I meant, that I disabled my IAT sensor on my ecu, so filling out the IAT compensation table won't have an effect as I am not reading any IAT ... Or am I STILL missing something LOL Many thanks for the explanation on the Closed/Open Loop settings, much appreciated.
  20. I have disabled IAT completely , so it is not that . I will order a sensor from you guys along with the AFR kit and enable that again later. I mapped the car with the new AEM water/meth system, so it is not that as well. The ECT was running in the same ranges ( 85 - 96 degrees ) while mapping . Maybe wastegate leak .. I don't know What is the reason to keep with open loop boost control or to move to closed loop ? What is the best one and why ?
  21. Many thanks Adam! That is how I did it , so I am glad I was on the right path ! It is INSANE how much better the car is now!! One question ... I finished mapping the car yesterday , and all was perfect , then later on drove again, and then it boosted about 0.3-0.4 less ? I had to again increase the values until it was on the same boost as before. then again later it will over boost because of the extra values I added. Is it the boost solenoid that needs replacing or what ? The car has a rotate mount Turbonetics turbo, external waste gate and dumpvalve. Also, I saw a file from another user on here, different car etc, and on his settings he has boost target etc, which I don't have ??? See his attached settings 1.2 BAR MAP.pclr
  22. Many thanks as always for your input Adam ! Meant to say thanks but never did
  23. Hi Guys Kindly send me an example file with values in this table? The stock base maps are all 0 figures. I have always used a GFB to control boost, but we are now moving it back to ecu control and I want an example of how this table must look please.
  24. Good day Kindly confirm please, Is it possible to connect a dedicated wideband sensor directly to the link ecu standalone ecu to get AFR readings? Or MUST we use the Link 125-1000 CAN Lambda to do it ?
  25. Ok thank you very much , makes perfect sense now !
