Guest |829|
We have been using sequential injection and direct ignition as you suggested. We ran through a series of different timings from 0 to 25 BTDC and multiple master fuels with no luck. The stock setup uses wasted spark and batched fuel (injecting every 360). So we are nearly certain that we need to have wasted spark and batched fuel but we cant seem to get them running (as in sparking and injecting 360) and have tested seeing no spark or injection signals on the oscilliscope under wasted spark. Can we run wasted spark on a single ignition on ViPec or are we doing something wrong again?

Guest |829|
Nice, that was what i figured, it doesn't want to do wasted spark on a single cause it thinks it's unnecessary. Thanks for all your help so far! We're going to build a new wiring harness now and try to convince our team lead that we need ViPEC to run well, as the engine is restricted to 20mm intake. rayhall
If you use 24 teeth with none missing and a cam signal, the engine will run perfectly and make good power. Other SAE teams use this setup and you will not get the same performace with anyother tooth setup.
