nz wiring trigger kit rb25det (CAM)

going from 4 wire cam sensor to 2 wire reluctor sensor whats the setup for it i know one wire is sensor ground and the other is for the ecu, but im stuck on trigger 2 wire from ecu does it play a part in the sensor. also wanting the setup info required for link lem g3 with g4 firmare as the settings are a tad diff from g4 + as stated in the setup instructions

Trigger 2 is not connected and should be set to sync mode = none.  Basic settings as below.  Set the trigger 1 arming threshold  and trigger offset to NZW suggestions.

You said you had a "G3 with G4 firmware" though.  If that is the case you should be using G4 PC Link V4.10 which is where my screenshot is from.

Yes link lem g3 as stated in first post with 1.9.2 fw thats why i asked i did not realise i could use v4.10 is that valid pclink i can use with my ecu on 1.9.2 version of the g3 lem sorry iv just read that im o ly on g3 still in terms of fw

I install same NZ but couldnt get it work.

Trig 1 shown active Scope not showing a wave form but 0.17V. No rpm.... tried both rb25 and 26 being the same result.  What should 1 keep looking....

What could possible. Go wrong.  I tested it again.  I actually oeder 2 set.  But both set in both engine act the same.

Directly meas the sensor during cranking i can see 0.3v but somehow trigger 1 and 2 both can read 0.17V. Both scope not in a wave form but irregular spike... any suggestion?

Attach the triggerscope and your tune.  Make sure you are only clicking the capture button on the scope when the engine is already cranking - not before.

Figured out it is my fault.  Now it shown wave form and trig 1 active but no rpm... cant startup

Looks like the sensor is wired back to front in that scope.  Swap the +/- wires.  Can you attach your tune also.

I follow exactly the same for +/- per nz and all setting.   White wire to ground and black to trig 1. But i can switch it and take scope again

Finally worked out.  Adam,.u are right,  flip the 2 pins made it work.

what cas was your car using 32/33 CAS or 34 CAS?

I have both cas setup.  And both working right now

The instruction indicate white wire to be - and black + trig 1

It is obviously switched.  Swap the 2 pins on both setup.  I manage to start just in 1 crank

See this,  it referencing white wire to be ground.....
