Fotis Posted December 25, 2019 Report Posted December 25, 2019 Hi again, currently waiting for our Fury to arrive. The project is a formula student car that will have an e-throttle and pedal shifters. My question is: When down shifting how can i make the throttle to open in order to rev match? As i saw the software will be using Active tables : 2 Tables. Table 2 activation will be lets say DI4 ( the padle shifter buttom). From there the table will be y-axis= AP( Main) and x-axis (RPM). How do i set values of the table from there? trial and error to find the best rev matching ? or just make all the table 40% throttle opening? Please let me know your thoughts, am i at a correct path? Sorry for making lots of questions. Best Regards. Fotis Quote
Adamw Posted December 25, 2019 Report Posted December 25, 2019 Typically done as a downshift blip. You will find this function in Gear shift control, overrun downshift throttle trim. Note it is not "rev matching", the purpose of the blip is to unload the dogs to allow it to change out of gear. It is typically trail and error, how much you need depends on a lot of factors such as the the size of the plenium, the mass of the rotating components, throttle size and how much back cut the dogs have. Fotis Posted December 25, 2019 Author Report Posted December 25, 2019 Okay cool got it. So no need for 2nd tables on the e-throttle setup. Thanks once again Adam. Quote
