JB9
Hi! I have an Evo IV with the G4+ Plugin. Could someone tell me what the object pictured is? There are two of them. What are their function/purpose/name, and are they still used, even when stock ECU is no longer present? Thanks.
Adamw
I have never seen one of those on an evo, but yes, if it is a factory part I would leave it there. That is most likely a suppressor on the power supply to the coils, it reduces EMI so is good to have - not only for your radio listening pleasure, but for the ecu and related electronics too. JB9
Ok, thanks. I have 2x Evo 4, One 1996 and one later 1997 model. Both cars have them. But if you haven't seen them before -- would that mean that the newer Evos don't have them?

As I stated before, leave it there, the EVO's have nasty ignition noise and you need every precaution to keep it at an acceptable level.
