Guest |1046|
Hi all I'm working on a rally car, (02-05 subaru WRX STI'd), and presently we've got it pretty much disassembled. It came to us after being through a few hands and the wiring harness is quite a mess. I'm presently trying to sort it all out, and I'd like to run the V88 on the bench so that I can see the channel configurations. Any tips on the best way to do this? We're also running an AIM MXL dash/datalogger, so I'm sure I'll have a few questions about getting that to work. Pete

Guest |1046|
Thanks Dave! Any idea on the current required? (i.e.would a brick of AAA batteries do it?) Pete
Guest Dave-Kriedeman
I wouldnt use the brick of batteries approach. For bench testing, i use a 12 DC 5 amp power supply. If you want to use a battery, use the car battery at least. You need a good power source to know the ECU will be happy, especially if you are planning on doing any Firmware updates to the ECU. Guest |1046|
Thanks Dave, I think I have a power supply that will handle it then. Can you tell me what proper terminal type and size to use for the connections? Pete
Guest |1046|
Anyone? I can't find the connector type anywhere in the documentation. There are a number of 'empty' spots in the connector plugs, and I'd like the option of adding inputs or outputs, as well as building a bench test harness. Simon
It is an AMP Superseal terminal. Your friendly Vi-pec dealer will be able to source these.
