dangtr
Was in at the ECU to install a CAN cable and came across what looks like a burnt/discoloured area for the board. I would assume that is is not the norm? Does anyone know what this bit does? ECU is still works, so not sure really what to do if anything... Vaughan
I assume that is a GTR plugin, it looks like the Idle speed flyback diode
dangtr
Yes gtr plug-in. Anyway of testing that its ok?
Simon
Can safely say that diode is not ok. Rest of the ECU is likely fine biggest impact will be idle speed control. But we can repair and then check the rest of the board if you were to send it in.

Hi Simon, I have notice the idle has been acting a little strange. how would I go about sending it in? I’m in the UK cheers
Simon
Flick an email in to [email protected] and we will give you all the info, It can be shipped in to the UK office / support but ultimately the repair will be done in NZ. dangtr
