Guest |680|
I have an EVO8 here that we installed a plug in ECU into last year. We are installing a Race Technology dash. After realizing that this ECU does not really have CAN functionality, we purchased an RS232 adapter for the dash. On the ECU board there is a small white connector labeled CAN/RS232. Can I use this connector for RS232 signals rather than the comms cable? What is the pinout of this connector? I realize the dash will need to be unplugged in order for a PC to communicate with the ECU.
Simon
Correct. We can supply a cable that connects to the RS232/can port and terminates in a 9pin D serial connector.
Guest |680|
Can you supply the pinout of the connector on the board? I've got a pinout from a dealer but I would like to verify since the dash is not picking up the ECU data stream. I tried unplugging the comms cable from the board but still no go.
