Fool83
Hello all I current have a JDM MK4 Supra non turbo that I plan to turbo and I need a EMS. I plan to buy one today but before I do I need some critical information first. Specifically the cam/crank sensor types. The ecu I am looking at it the MK4 Supra turbo pnp (using the factory shell) and here's my questions I plan to use a Twin turbo Crank sensor with the crank wheel... On the camshaft however, I'm either going to use a honeywell hall effect sensor or a Chery Hall effect sensor (with a metal rod screwed onto my cam gear) acting as my "home" for timing. For the ignition system, I am going to use 1ZZ coil packs.. I ran a set up like this with a ProEFI 128 on my MR2 turbo without issue and setting up the timing was as simple as messing with a number value on a screen while firing the car (using a car starter) until I seen the physical timing marks match what I needed. Can I set the ecu up to use those items I listed and hoe would I go about doing so?

Adamw
Yes that will be fine. The only important thing with that trigger setup will be the alignment of the cam peg will be quite critical. One edge needs to pass the center of the cam sensor roughly half way between 2 crank teeth.

koracing
If it is somewhat adjustable radially then you shouldn't have a problem with tooth alignment.
