guirolca
Good afternoon, As a part of a vehicle development project, i am currently in chargee of studying the ecu capabilities, we have recently acquired one of your models, the xtreme black and through the software g4+ we have understood that there are two avalable can lines that can be used. The problem is that in the pin out specifications, only the CAN-2 wiring set up is shown. How should CAN-1 be also implemented?
Adamw
CAN 1 is available in the 6 pin round port below the USB tuning port.
guirolca
Thank you very much. One last thing related to this topic. When we analyzed the connectors too, we found that the ground was divided between power ground for coils, fuel pump... and sensor ground for tps, map... but we did not find the actual ground of the ecu. Looking at this connector, is the pin 1 the actual ground of the ecu, which should be routed to battery ground, or is it not necessary to use this pin? Adamw
No, it is not necesary to use the pin 1 ground in the round comms connector, this is only used for a common ground for RS 232 devices.
