928sg
I've been reading on a lot of forums that the coils have 2 grounds, and here on the link forums I was told to ground both grounds to the cylinder heads, but I've been reading that you are supposed to wire one of the grounds to the sensor grounds. Which one is correct?
Adamw
Pin 2 is the secondary ground, it needs to be connected to the cyl head. And definately dont run them with that much dwell. They pull about 16A at 2.5ms and 25A at 3ms. The are just saturating at 3ms so no point ever going more than that. Normally about 1.8ms will do a NA engine. 0x33
Typically I earth both to the head and never had any issues, even with big boost cars. I've tried also grounding the power ground to head and signal ground to ECU and it also worked, didn't really notice anything different between either. Agreed with adam, you don't need your dwell times to be that high.
