Orangehills
Looking for advice on a inherited project. This is an eight cylinder engine and it is setup with a VR crank sensor with a four tooth target and a hall effect cam sensor. it will not start, What do you think of the waveforms and the crank sensor setup? Thank you in advance for your comments.
Vaughan
Copy of your basemap would be useful as well but I suspect you need to find a way to move one of the triggers
Adamw
Actually I reckon the rising edge on trig 2 is far enough away that it should work - a bit borderline but at least I would expect it should run. Trigger setup should look like below. Do you have RPM? Spark? Whats it got for an ignition system?
Orangehills
Thank you Vaughan and Adam. Yes we have RPM, with no trigger errors. We have fuel and spark. Coils are Chevy LS1. Below is the trigger scope and base map with the suggested trigger changes. Engine sounds like the timing is off, it is trying to start and getting some backfires. adam test.pclr trigger scope with changes.llg
Adamw
So have you checked timing with a timing light? You will most likely need to change the sync position setting to get the spark on the correct cylinders.
